Slavia Prague vs Arsenal: a year after 0-3, Slavia still wait for a home goal against Arsenal
Arsenal won 3-0 in Prague on 4 November 2025, and they return exactly a year later. Slavia haven’t scored in any of their three home UEFA games against Arsenal: 0-0 in 2007, 0-4 in the 2021 Europa League and last season’s 0-3.
Kick-off is Wednesday 4 November at 20:00 UK time. Across five previous meetings Arsenal have won three and drawn two.
Slavia are 30th in the league-phase table with one point. They lost 3-2 at home to Lens on Matchday 1 after conceding twice in stoppage time and finishing with ten men, lost 2-0 at Sabah, then drew 2-2 at Fenerbahce on 20 October through Provod and a 90th-minute equaliser from Kacor.
Arsenal are seventh on seven points: 1-0 against Napoli, 3-0 against Lille, and a 2-2 draw at Bayern Munich on 21 October in which Declan Rice equalised in the 82nd minute.
The two clubs arrive from very different domestic situations. Slavia lead the Czech league by six points and are unbeaten after 12 games, while Arsenal are second in the Premier League on 21 points, level with Manchester City, and visit Liverpool on Sunday.
Slavia Prague: 28 points from 12 league games, no Champions League win since 2007
Jindrich Trpisovsky’s side have eight wins and four draws from 12 league games, with a goal difference of plus 20. Sparta Prague are second on 22 points.
The recent league results have been tighter: 1-0 against Zlin, 0-0 against Hradec Kralove on 17 October, and 1-1 against Mlada Boleslav, rescued by Chytil’s 86th-minute goal. A 4-0 cup win over Zbrojovka Brno on 27 October came before Saturday’s trip to Jablonec.
Europe is where the record turns. Slavia haven’t won a Champions League match since 2007, and their three games this season have produced four goals scored and seven conceded.
Slavia do have goals in the side. Sturm scored both goals against Lens, Provod and Kacor scored in Istanbul, and Kacor played through a shoulder injury to do it. Chory has been left out of the squad and wants to leave the club.
Trpisovsky used a back three in Istanbul, with Vlcek, Zima and N’Guessan in front of Markovic and Suleiman and Kubiak as wing-backs. Against an Arsenal side that scored four and three in its last two visits to Prague, the question is whether that shape can hold for 90 minutes.

Arsenal: seven points from three, now without Bukayo Saka
Saka picked up a thigh injury in Munich that will keep him out for six to eight weeks. William Saliba has a back problem, Noni Madueke is expected back from a knock, and Tzolis remains injured.
Mikel Arteta’s side have won seven of their eight league games, losing only 3-0 at Brighton on 19 September. They beat Everton 2-0 on 24 October through Konsa and Gabriel, then went out of the League Cup at Fleetwood on 27 October, losing 5-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
Max Dowman’s red card carries a ban for Premier League matches only, so he’s eligible on Wednesday.
Rice has four Premier League assists to go with his equaliser in Munich, and Eberechi Eze scored against both Lille and Bayern. Kai Havertz has two league goals, and Gabriel has started all eight league matches.
Before the draw in Munich, Arsenal had won 14 league-phase games in a row. Their last dropped points at that stage of the competition had come at Inter in November 2024.
Probable lineup Slavia Prague: Markovic; Vlcek, Zima, N’Guessan; Suleiman, Moses, Nowak, Kubiak; Provod, Sturm; Ayaosi
Probable lineup Arsenal: Raya; Timber, Konsa, Gabriel, Calafiori; Rice, Bruno Guimaraes; Madueke, Odegaard, Eze; Havertz
Free Champions League Prediction: Slavia Prague vs Arsenal
Our prediction: Over 2.5 goals (odds around 1.58)
Arsenal should win, but at around 1.35 the result is too short for us. We’d take over 2.5 goals at around 1.58 instead.
Arsenal’s last two wins in Prague finished 4-0 and 3-0, and Slavia’s three Champions League games this season have averaged more than three goals, with Slavia conceding in all of them. Eze has scored in both of Arsenal’s last two European games, and Rice, Odegaard and Havertz give Arteta more than one route to goal without Saka.
The risk is a controlled 2-0 in which Arsenal ease off after taking the lead. Slavia’s record against Lens and Fenerbahce, where they scored twice in each game, suggests they’ll keep attacking, and that should leave space for Arsenal to add to the total.

About our free predictions
- What we publish on MathOdds are analyses, nothing more. We share a view, a reading of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport remains what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a last-minute goal, and the script changes completely.
- Let’s be clear: there is no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing ever is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s even inevitable at some point.
- The smartest approach is to stay reasonable. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Never use money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase your losses: that rarely ends well.
- A bet should remain a game, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your daily life, causes stress or frustration, take a break. And if needed, talk to a support organisation: that’s what they’re there for.
- Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, no matter how good the analysis.
- Essential reminder: gambling is prohibited for minors and must comply with the laws of your country. Need help? Visit begambleaware.org.

Information changes
A prediction is always based on what we know at the time of writing. But between publication and kick-off, a lineup can change, a player picks up an injury, the weather turns, and the analysis can quickly be outdated. We cannot be held responsible for that.
