Dallas Wings vs Indiana Fever – WNBA Prediction – August 20, 2026

Dallas Wings vs Indiana Fever : another up-tempo shootout on the cards ? Women's National Basketball Association — Wikipedia

Dallas meet Indiana again just a few days after the Fever won the first clash 98-87. Since then, the gap between the two teams has not really closed. Indiana keep rolling with five straight wins, while the Wings have dropped four of their last five.

The setup could also push this one toward a high score. Indiana are averaging more than 100 points across their last 10 outings, and Dallas have enough offensive talent to keep pace at home. The Wings also beat the Fever 107-104 in their meeting back in May. With both sides able to turn up the tempo in a hurry, an open, high-scoring game looks the most appealing angle.

Dallas need their offence to wake up if they want to hang around The Official Website of the Dallas Wings | WNBA

It has been a rough stretch for the Wings. Dallas have only three wins from their last 10 games and were beaten 78-70 by the Golden State Valkyries last time out. Over their last five, the record gets even uglier: four losses and one win.

The offence has lost its edge, too. Dallas are averaging 88.9 points this season, but that drops to 84.9 across their last 10 and 83.5 in their recent home games. That is hardly ideal when they are about to face one of the hottest attacks in the WNBA.

The Wings will also have to cope without Fudd, James and Verona. Even so, they still have players who can lift the scoreline. Bueckers has become a major part of the offence, Shepard is back, and Dallas have already shown they can live with a fast game against Indiana. That 107-104 win in May is the best example.

It is hard to ask for much more from the Fever right now. They are on a five-game winning streak and have taken eight of their last 10. The latest head-to-head with the Wings also went their way, with a 98-87 win on 15 August.

Indiana are standing out most for their scoring. Across their last 10 games, the Fever are putting up 101.4 points per contest. Even on the road, the drop-off is minimal, with 100.5 points over that recent stretch. For the season, they are averaging 93.4 away from home.

Kelsey Mitchell is a huge part of that surge and could push on with her run of 20-plus-point games. With Indiana playing full of belief, it is tough to imagine them coming to Dallas and trying to drag the pace down. If the Wings stay in touch early, the scoreboard could start climbing fast.

WNBA prediction : Dallas Wings vs Indiana Fever

Indiana Fever to win and over 175.5 total points

This bet needs two things: another Indiana win and at least 176 points in the game. The recent form of both sides gives the Fever the first edge. They have won five in a row and eight of their last 10, while Dallas have lost four of five and seven of their last 10.

That leaves the total. Indiana are currently averaging 101.4 points over their last 10 games and 100.5 on the road in that same span, so they can do plenty of the heavy lifting. Dallas, meanwhile, are sitting close to 89 points a game this season and put up 107 against Indiana in the May win.

The two meetings this season also tell you plenty about the scoring potential here: 211 points in Dallas’s 107-104 win, then 185 in Indiana’s 98-87 victory a few days ago. So the 175.5 line still leaves some breathing room compared with those two games.

Indiana arrive with more certainty and have just beaten Dallas already. But instead of backing the Fever on their own, we are adding a total that fits the pace their offence is setting right now. If Dallas can stay close long enough, the stage is set for another lively Indiana win.

First, a quick word on our predictions

  • What we publish on mathodds is analysis, nothing more. We give an opinion, a read on the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport is what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal… and the script changes completely.
  • Let us be clear: there is no bet without risk. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing really is. And yes, that means you can lose. In fact, sooner or later, you will.
  • The smart move is to keep it sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Do not touch money you need for everyday life. And above all: do not chase your losses, because that rarely ends well.
  • A bet should stay a game, not a job or a source of income. If you feel it is taking up too much space in your life, making you angry or putting you under pressure, take a break. And if needed, speak to a specialist support group. That is what they are there for.
  • In the end, the responsibility is yours. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, even with the best analysis in the world.
  • Essential reminder: betting is illegal for minors and must follow the law in your country. Gambling can get out of hand fast (money lost, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.

No commitment from us

Our predictions are not a contract. They carry no legal weight. In plain terms: you cannot use them to demand anything if a bet loses.

Information can change

A prediction is always based on what we know when it is written. But in the meantime, a team sheet changes, a player gets injured, the weather turns bad… and the analysis can quickly go out of date. We cannot be held responsible for that.

Your role
