Barcelona vs Getafe – Free Football Prediction – 10/10/2026

Barcelona vs Getafe: the best attack in Spain against an away side that can’t score La Liga

Thirty-six goals in eight games. That’s Barcelona’s output across all competitions since the season started, and they’ve won every single one of those matches. Hansi Flick’s side top La Liga with a perfect record and they’re chasing a third straight title.

Getafe are the opposite kind of team. Jose Bordalas has them sitting 11th after two wins from seven, with four league goals in total. Four. Barcelona are averaging more than that per game.

The two meet at Camp Nou on Saturday 10 October, with kick-off at 18:30 Paris time. Nobody’s asking who wins. The bookmakers barely offer a price on Barcelona winning outright.

So the question shifts. Can Getafe score at all? Their away record says no. Five straight defeats on the road, 0.40 goals per game, three blanks. That’s a side that travels badly and knows it.

There’s also the history. Barcelona have won 26 of the last 36 meetings, Getafe only two. In the last ten, Barcelona kept eight clean sheets.

That’s where this one’s decided.

Barcelona: ten straight wins, but Raphinha and Joan Garcia are the questions Barcelona

Raphinha went into the break with a hat-trick in the 3-1 comeback win over Sevilla. That made it 12 La Liga goals already this season and 15 in all competitions. Then he came back from international duty with a thigh complaint, and his availability for Saturday is the biggest call Flick has to make.

Without him, Barcelona still have plenty. Lamine Yamal, Fermin and Gordon behind Gabriel Jesus is hardly a weakened front four. Ten consecutive wins in all competitions, averaging 4.20 goals per game, tell you the system matters more than any one man. At home they average four a game.

The bigger story is at the back. Barcelona’s last ten games have produced just 0.86 expected goals against per match, and a single goal conceded per game on average. That’s a defence that doesn’t get opened up often, even with Andreas Christensen and Frenkie de Jong both injured.

Joan Garcia’s still working back to full fitness after the knee injury he picked up against Racing Santander in September. Dominik Livakovic is likely to keep his place. Eric Garcia is a doubt too, so Gerard Martin should partner Pau Cubarsi in the middle.

Clean sheets have come in 40% of their last ten. Not a huge number for a side this dominant. Against the league’s bluntest attack, though, that figure should climb.

The rest is noise.

Getafe: five straight away defeats and 0.40 goals a game on the road Getafe

Bordalas knows exactly what he’s doing. His Getafe sit deep, fight for every second ball and make the game ugly. At the Coliseum it works: their last five home matches brought three wins and two draws. Away from Madrid, the same plan falls apart.

Five away games, five defeats. Two goals scored across all of them, three blanks, and not a single clean sheet in any of those trips. That makes for uncomfortable reading heading to the toughest ground in Spain.

Their last outing was a typical Bordalas win: 1-0 over Malaga, Ivan Azon scoring in the 85th minute from a Martin Satriano pass. Before that, a 1-0 defeat to Real Betis. Tight, low-scoring, grinding. That’s their ceiling right now.

The squad’s stretched too. Christantus Uche is out for the season with a knee injury, Juanmi is sidelined, and defenders Abdel Abqar and Kiko Femenia are still working back to full fitness. Mario Martin returns from suspension, which helps in midfield alongside Orel Mangala, on loan from Lyon since August.

And the Conference League has added minutes to legs that were never built for a heavy schedule. Getafe beat Partizan in the playoff to get there. Domestically, they’ve paid for it.

No fixing that in one week.

Probable lineup Barcelona: Livakovic; Kounde, Cubarsi, Gerard Martin, Cancelo; Rodri, Pedri; Lamine Yamal, Fermin, Gordon; Gabriel Jesus (Raphinha subject to fitness)
Probable lineup Getafe: David Soria; Djene, Sazonov, Romero, Mojica; Terrats, Gudelj, Mangala, Satriano; Unal, Azon

Free Football Prediction: Barcelona vs Getafe

Our prediction: Barcelona clean sheet (1.61)

Barcelona to win is priced so short it’s pointless. The value sits on the other side of the pitch. Getafe have scored 0.40 goals per game in their last five away matches, failed to score in three of them, and have four league goals in seven rounds. That’s the bluntest attack Barcelona will face this season.

The head-to-head backs it up. In the last ten meetings, Getafe scored in only two: a 1-1 in January 2025 and a 2-1 defeat in August 2021. Barcelona’s most recent wins in this fixture read 2-0, 3-0, 1-0 and 4-0. Bordalas’ sides come to Camp Nou to defend, and his front two will spend most of the afternoon chasing shadows.

A Barcelona clean sheet at 1.61. The numbers don’t lie, and they all point one way.

About our free predictions

  • What we publish on MathOdds are analyses, nothing more. We share a view, a reading of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport remains what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a last-minute goal, and the script changes completely.
  • Let’s be clear: there’s no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing ever is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s even inevitable at some point.
  • The smartest approach is to stay reasonable. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Never use money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase your losses, that rarely ends well.
  • A bet should remain a game, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your daily life, causes stress or frustration, take a break. And if needed, talk to a support organisation: that’s what they’re there for.
  • Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, no matter how good the analysis.
  • Essential reminder: gambling is prohibited for minors and must comply with the laws of your country. Need help? Visit begambleaware.org.

Information changes

A prediction is always based on what we know at the time of writing. But between publication and kick-off, a lineup can change, a player picks up an injury, the weather turns, and the analysis can quickly be outdated. We can’t be held responsible for that.
