In what should be a tight contest, one player stands out above the rest: Veronica Burton. Golden State have won almost two-thirds of their games this season and, more importantly, they have done it with remarkable consistency. They can beat teams in different ways, without leaning too heavily on the outside shot or on one star alone.

Offensively, the Valkyries are averaging close to 83 points per game. Their defence has also been solid, holding opponents to just over 78 on average. That balance keeps them in games that go down to the wire, and it also gives them a chance to pull away when the pace picks up.

Away from home, the Golden State Valkyries have also been involved in plenty of high-scoring games. Eight of their last nine road games have gone to at least 157 points. That could suit Veronica Burton, who can score and create for others in equal measure.
