Torino vs Como – Free Serie A Prediction

Torino vs Como: three straight wins against an 11-1 aggregate Serie A

Como have scored 11 goals against Torino in their last two Serie A meetings and conceded one. They won 5-1 at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino in November 2025, then 6-0 at home on 24 January 2026, with Anastasios Douvikas scoring twice in the second of those games.

That record sits awkwardly next to Torino’s current run. Ignazio Abate’s side have won three league games in a row for the first time since 2019, beating Udinese 2-1, Parma 3-0 and Monza 3-2, and they’re unbeaten in four. Those four matches have brought 10 points.

The two sides meet on Tuesday 27 October in the ninth round of Serie A, kick-off 19:45 UK time. Como are fourth with 17 points from eight games. Torino are seventh on 13, level with Frosinone and Cagliari.

The gap between the two defences is wider than the gap in the table. Como have conceded seven league goals, the second-lowest total in the division behind Roma. Torino have let in 11, and seven of those came in their four home league games.

Fixture congestion is the main variable. Como beat Manchester United 4-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday, then rotated heavily for Saturday’s 2-0 win over Sassuolo with this trip in mind. Torino played on Friday night and get one extra day of rest.

Bookmakers have Como at around 1.72, with Torino at 4.50 and the draw at 3.60. We think that price is fair rather than generous, and our case rests more on Como’s defence than on their reputation.

Torino: 10 points from four games, but seven conceded at home Torino

Torino’s winning run has come against Udinese, Parma and Monza. When Milan and Roma came to Turin earlier in the season, Torino lost 2-1 and 2-0 and scored once across the two games.

Friday’s 3-2 win over Monza showed both sides of the team. Fitz-Jim scored his first Torino goal on 39 minutes, Belghali added a long-range shot just after the hour and Vlasic made it 3-1 on 72 minutes, his first goal in 184 days. Monza’s first goal came two minutes after half-time, when Gustavo Varela picked up a poor back-pass from Comuzzo, and the second was a stoppage-time own goal by substitute Nathan Patterson.

The goals are shared around. Simeone scored twice in the 3-0 win at Parma, Che Adams has three league goals and Kulenovic came off the bench to settle the Udinese game. Torino have 13 league goals in eight matches, one fewer than Como.

Midfield is where Abate is short. Mandragora went off after 51 minutes on Friday with a muscle problem and is unlikely to face Como, Ilkhan is out until November with an adductor injury, and Fortini and Ricardo Rodriguez are also unavailable. Gineitis, who replaced Mandragora against Monza, is the obvious stand-in.

Abate was appointed on 12 June to replace Roberto D’Aversa, and this is his first season as a head coach in Serie A. He’s built the run on a back three of Coco, Ismajli and Comuzzo, with Lucas Perri, signed from Leeds in the summer, in goal. That unit has conceded 11 times in eight league games.

Como: the league’s second-best defence and a rotation already done Como

Como have conceded seven goals in eight league games. Only one of their last five opponents in all competitions, Feyenoord, scored more than once against them, and the third goal in that 3-2 defeat in Rotterdam was an own goal by goalkeeper Robert Sánchez.

Cesc Fabregas made his selection call on Saturday. Nico Paz, Jacobo Ramón and Smolcic started on the bench against Sassuolo, and Douvikas still scored twice in the second half, on 49 minutes and again around the hour. All three of the rested players will be fresh for Turin.

Paz is the player Torino have to deal with. He scored twice against Manchester United on Wednesday, the first after two minutes, and also scored in the 3-1 win at Fiorentina on 18 October. Como bought him outright from Real Madrid in the summer for about €60m.

Douvikas scored 13 league goals last season and hasn’t slowed down. He has two against Sassuolo, one against United, one at Fiorentina and a stoppage-time goal at Feyenoord in the last fortnight, and he scored twice in January’s 6-0 win over Torino.

Absences are the open question. Kean, Diao, Chalobah, Liberali and Rodríguez all missed the Sassuolo game. Fabregas said Kean could return in Turin but wouldn’t guarantee it, and he described Liberali’s problem as very minor.

Como have won six of their last eight away league games, a run that stretches back into last season. This season’s road wins include the 3-1 at Fiorentina, where Liberali, Paz and Douvikas all scored.

Probable lineup Torino: Perri; Coco, Ismajli, Comuzzo; Belghali, Fitz-Jim, Gineitis, Vlasic, Cacciamani; Simeone, Adams
Probable lineup Como: Butez; Smolcic, Ramón, Kempf, Valle; Perrone, Caqueret; Da Cunha, Paz, Baturina; Douvikas

Free Serie A Prediction: Torino vs Como

Our prediction: Como to win (1.72)

We’re backing Como. Their defence has conceded seven times in eight league games, and Torino have conceded in each of their four home league matches. Fabregas has already rested Paz, Ramón and Smolcic for this trip, which removes most of the fatigue argument against the visitors.

Torino’s run deserves credit: three straight wins and 10 points from four games. Those wins came against Udinese, Parma and Monza, though, and Milan and Roma held them to one goal in two visits to Turin. Without Mandragora the home midfield is thinner as well.

The last two meetings finished 5-1 and 6-0 to Como. We don’t expect a margin like that again, but at 1.72 the away win is our pick, with Douvikas the likeliest scorer.

About our free predictions

  • What we publish on MathOdds are analyses, nothing more. We share a view, a reading of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport remains what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a last-minute goal, and the script changes completely.
  • Let’s be clear: there is no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing ever is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s even inevitable at some point.
  • The smartest approach is to stay reasonable. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Never use money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase your losses: that rarely ends well.
  • A bet should remain a game, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your daily life, causes stress or frustration, take a break. And if needed, talk to a support organisation: that’s what they’re there for.
  • Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, no matter how good the analysis.
  • Essential reminder: gambling is prohibited for minors and must comply with the laws of your country. Need help? Visit begambleaware.org.

Information changes

A prediction is always based on what we know at the time of writing. But between publication and kick-off, a lineup can change, a player picks up an injury, the weather turns, and the analysis can quickly be outdated. We cannot be held responsible for that.
