Sevilla vs Osasuna: 14 goals conceded in three away games La Liga

Osasuna have conceded 14 goals in their last three away league games. They lost 5-2 at Alavés, 4-0 at Atlético Madrid and 5-2 at Real Betis, and they’ve taken three points from four trips this season.

Sevilla host them at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán on Monday 26 October, kick-off 8pm UK time, to close La Liga’s tenth round. Sevilla are sixth on 14 points from nine games. Osasuna have 11, with a goal difference of minus eight that matches that away record.

That points towards a home win, but Sevilla have let in three goals in each of their last three matches: 1-3 at home to Barcelona, 3-3 at Levante and 4-1 at the Bernabéu. Two of those three games came against sides in the top three.

Jagoba Arrasate has a habit of frustrating this opponent. The Osasuna coach is unbeaten in his last 10 competitive meetings with Sevilla, a run that includes a league double over them with Mallorca last season.

The recent head-to-head is closer than the long one. Sevilla have won 14 of the 29 meetings on record against Osasuna’s seven, but only one of the last six, with three draws. The most recent finished Osasuna 2-1 Sevilla on 26 April 2026, while Sevilla’s 1-0 win in this fixture last season, settled by a Ruben Vargas penalty, ended a three-game winless home run against them.

Both sides go in with players missing. Sevilla are without Marcao, Miguel Sierra and Jon Guridi, and Osasuna have lost Jorge Herrando and Romain Del Castillo to adductor problems and Aimar Oroz to a hamstring injury.

Sevilla: a goal in every league game, three conceded in each of the last three Sevilla

Sevilla have scored in all nine of their league games. That’s the steadiest part of their season, and it hasn’t lifted them higher than sixth: four wins, two draws, three defeats, 14 goals scored and 16 conceded.

All three defeats came against the top three. Losing 1-3 at home to Barcelona and 4-1 at Real Madrid says little about how they’ll cope with a side on 11 points, so the 3-3 at Levante is the result I’d hold against them.

Before that, a 1-1 draw at Espanyol was followed by 1-0 wins at home to Valencia and away at Deportivo La Coruña. Since then the defence has given up ten in three.

Home form has been modest. Sevilla have taken six points from four league games at the Pizjuán, and only once have they scored more than one goal there.

Isaac Romero is available again after a one-match ban, though the bench looks likelier for him. Manu Bueno came off the bench at the Bernabéu and scored in the 80th minute, Sevilla’s only goal that night, and Giorgi Kochorashvili is back in contention after a calf problem.

The expected shape is a 4-2-3-1, with Vlachodimos in goal, Agoumé and Fofana in front of the defence, and Ureña leading the line. Vargas, who scored the penalty that beat Osasuna here last season, should start on the right.

Osasuna: Arrasate unbeaten in ten against Sevilla, Budimir chasing a fourth in a row Osasuna

Osasuna’s away numbers are hard to defend. They’ve taken three points from four league trips, and the last three have cost them 14 goals.

Before beating Racing Santander, they’d gone five league games without a win: 5-2 at Alavés, 0-2 at home to Espanyol, 4-0 at Atlético, 1-1 with Rayo Vallecano and 5-2 at Betis. They scored five goals in those five matches and conceded 17.

The 2-0 win over Racing last time out was only their third league victory of the season. Ante Budimir scored in the ninth minute and Asier Osambela added the second in the 88th.

Budimir is the reason Osasuna can’t be written off on Monday. He has scored in three straight league games and found the net at this ground on each of his last two La Liga visits.

Arrasate’s record against Sevilla adds to it: ten competitive games without defeat across his spells in charge. I wouldn’t build a bet on a coach’s run alone, but ten games is a long one, and it includes two wins over them last season.

The predicted XI is the one that started against Racing: Fernández in goal behind Rosier, Catena, Boyomo and Bretones, with Moncayola, Muñoz and Gómez in midfield and García and Dubasin either side of Budimir.

Probable lineup Sevilla: Vlachodimos; Iglesias, Castrin, Salas, Suazo; Agoumé, Fofana; Vargas, Kochorashvili, Correia; Ureña
Probable lineup Osasuna: Fernández; Rosier, Catena, Boyomo, Bretones; Moncayola, Muñoz, Gómez; García, Dubasin, Budimir

Our prediction: Both teams to score at 1.95

Sevilla have scored in every league game this season, and Osasuna’s away defence has conceded at least four in each of their last three trips. The home goal is the safest part of this fixture.

The other half rests on Budimir and on a Sevilla back line that has let in ten in three. Osasuna scored twice at both Alavés and Betis while losing heavily, and the last meeting between these sides, in April, ended 2-1 to them.

They drew a blank at Atlético and at home to Espanyol, which is the case against this pick. I’d lean towards a Sevilla win at 1.90, but both teams scoring at 1.95 is the stronger bet of the two.

About our free predictions

  • What we publish on MathOdds are analyses, nothing more. We share a view, a reading of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport remains what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a last-minute goal, and the script changes completely.
  • Let’s be clear: there is no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing ever is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s even inevitable at some point.
  • The smartest approach is to stay reasonable. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Never use money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase your losses: that rarely ends well.
  • A bet should remain a game, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your daily life, causes stress or frustration, take a break. And if needed, talk to a support organisation: that’s what they’re there for.
  • Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, no matter how good the analysis.
  • Essential reminder: gambling is prohibited for minors and must comply with the laws of your country. Need help? Visit begambleaware.org.

Information changes

A prediction is always based on what we know at the time of writing. But between publication and kick-off, a lineup can change, a player picks up an injury, the weather turns, and the analysis can quickly be outdated. We cannot be held responsible for that.
