RB Leipzig vs FC Augsburg: 18 home goals, none conceded, and no league win for the visitors since September
RB Leipzig have scored 18 goals in four home Bundesliga games this season and conceded none. FC Augsburg go to the Red Bull Arena on Saturday 7 November, kick-off 14:30 UK time, without a league win since they beat Eintracht Frankfurt 4-1 on 6 September.
Bookmakers have Leipzig at 1.47, the draw at 5.50 and Augsburg at 5.30, a short number for a side that sits fourth on 15 points but has lost three of its eight league games.
All three of those defeats came away from home, at Werder Bremen, Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich. Leipzig fixed that last Saturday, winning 2-0 at Schalke with 17 shots to six and 43 touches in the opposing box to 10.
Augsburg are 10th on nine points after losing 2-1 at home to Freiburg. Michael Gregoritsch had put them ahead on 18 minutes, and Igor Matanovic and Cyriaque Irie scored on 65 and 85 minutes to end an unbeaten home league record.
The head-to-head reads 14 Leipzig wins, seven draws and three for Augsburg across 24 meetings. Leipzig won 2-1 here on 7 March with a 92nd-minute own goal after trailing at half-time, and in October 2025 they won 6-0 in Augsburg.
RB Leipzig: nine straight home league wins, with Manchester City due in midweek
Martin Demichelis’s side have scored 22 league goals, second only to Bayern, and conceded 11. At home they’ve won nine league games in a row, including 6-0 against Frankfurt and 4-0 against Elversberg.
The Elversberg game is the one we’d study before Saturday. Demichelis made eight changes, started Orjan Nyland in goal, and still won by four with every goal arriving after a goalless first half. That rotation matters here because City visit on Wednesday night, three days before this game.
The trip to Gelsenkirchen followed a 2-1 DFB-Pokal win at Rot-Weiss Essen, which ended five straight road defeats in all competitions. Leipzig had about 60% of the ball at Schalke, completed 86% of their passes and put nine shots on target to Schalke’s one.
Antonio Nusa has taken on much of the creative load. He scored the penalty at Schalke on 37 minutes after Satoshi Tanaka fouled Romulo, and Romulo added the second on 78 minutes, having already had a stoppage-time goal ruled out by VAR.
Christopher Nkunku remains a doubt with a groin problem. He scored a hat-trick against Frankfurt on 10 October, and Leipzig have managed without him since. Assan Ouedraogo (shoulder), Guiu (hamstring) and Maxime Esteve (knock) are all listed as out.
The worry for Demichelis is the back line after a European night. Leipzig conceded six at Bayern on 17 October and four at Real Madrid four days later, so Saturday’s selection will depend on how many of his first-choice defenders come through City.

FC Augsburg: scoring in every league game and conceding in most of them
Manuel Baum’s side have scored in all eight Bundesliga games. They’ve also let in 15, and both teams have scored in their last six league matches, so a clean sheet of any kind looks well beyond them at the moment.
Their six league games since the Frankfurt win have brought three draws and three defeats. They drew 2-2 with Bayern and Leverkusen at the WWK Arena, then 1-1 with Union Berlin despite taking 25 shots to Union’s six.
Baum’s side won 4-2 at Sonnenhof Grossaspach in the DFB-Pokal last week with five changes, and that remains their only win in any competition since the Frankfurt game. Massengo, Rieder and Komur have also scored in the league this season.
Gregoritsch has five league goals after his opener against Freiburg, and Robin Fellhauer has three. Augsburg’s goal output, 18 from eight games, is the same as Leverkusen’s, which is why we wouldn’t back a Leipzig clean sheet here.
They lost 3-2 at Werder Bremen and 4-3 at Elversberg on 17 October, trailing 3-1 at half-time in the second of those, before Gregoritsch’s penalty and Komur’s goal made the score respectable.
Abdulai Juma Bah serves the second game of a two-match ban, and Noahkai Banks, Calvin Brackelmann and Steve Mounie are out. Alexis Claude-Maurice is a doubt with a muscle problem, so Baum’s back three again has to be rebuilt around Gouweleeuw and Matsima.
Probable lineup RB Leipzig: Vandevoordt; Baku, Orban, Lukeba, Raum; Gruda, Reitz, El Aynaoui, Banzuzi, Nusa; Romulo
Probable lineup FC Augsburg: Dahmen; Gouweleeuw, Matsima, Keitel; Fellhauer, Massengo, Rieder, Behrens; Kade, Gregoritsch, Ibrahimovic

Our prediction: RB Leipzig to win (1.47)
We’re taking Leipzig at 1.47. Nine straight home league wins and 18 home goals without reply set the baseline, and Augsburg have won one of their last seven league games, with seven of their 15 conceded coming in two away trips to Bremen and Elversberg.
A hard night against Manchester City could cost Demichelis legs and leave him rotating again, and Augsburg’s record of scoring in every league game means a clean sheet isn’t guaranteed. He made eight changes for Elversberg and won 4-0, so we don’t expect rotation alone to cost Leipzig this game.
Leipzig have won 14 of 24 meetings with Augsburg and lost three, and they face a defence missing Bah, Banks and Brackelmann. We’d take that matchup at this price, with Saturday’s lineup the only thing that could change our view.

About our free predictions
- What we publish on MathOdds are analyses, nothing more. We share a view, a reading of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport remains what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a last-minute goal, and the script changes completely.
- Let’s be clear: there is no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing ever is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s even inevitable at some point.
- The smartest approach is to stay reasonable. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Never use money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase your losses: that rarely ends well.
- A bet should remain a game, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your daily life, causes stress or frustration, take a break. And if needed, talk to a support organisation: that’s what they’re there for.
- Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, no matter how good the analysis.
- Essential reminder: gambling is prohibited for minors and must comply with the laws of your country. Need help? Visit begambleaware.org.

A prediction is always based on what we know at the time of writing. But between publication and kick-off, a lineup can change, a player picks up an injury, the weather turns, and the analysis can quickly be outdated. We cannot be held responsible for that.
