Loop Delivers From 56 Yards As Time Expires
Baltimore’s trip to Rio de Janeiro produced the sport’s oldest cliche done right: the kicker as hero. Tyler Loop drilled a 56-yard field goal as time expired, sending the Ravens past the Cowboys 34-31 in front of a crowd at Estadio Nilton Santos.
The sequence started with seven seconds left and Baltimore needing a scoring drive. Lamar Jackson found Zay Flowers for a 27-yard gain to the Cowboys’ 39-yard line, called timeout with one second still on the clock, and sent Loop out to attempt the game-winner. It split the uprights.

Four Lead Changes In The Final Quarter
Dallas tied it at 31 on Brandon Aubrey’s 23-yard field goal after Baltimore’s defense forced a fourth-down incompletion at the goal line, though cornerback Nate Wiggins was flagged for pass interference on the previous play to keep the Cowboys alive. Dak Prescott had a chance to win it outright but overthrew George Pickens on third down, handing the ball back to Jackson with 39 seconds left.
Jackson finished 15 of 20 for 186 yards and two touchdowns, adding 50 yards on the ground. Derrick Henry ran for 89 yards and two scores. A third apparent Henry touchdown was overturned on review, but Baltimore still converted the fourth-and-goal moments later on a play-fake to rookie tight end Matt Hibner.
Cowboys Depleted In The Secondary
Dallas played most of the second half missing four defensive backs. Malik Hooker and PJ Locke were already out, Jalen Thompson left with a hamstring injury in the first half, and Shavon Revel needed help off the field with a knee issue between the third and fourth quarters. Prescott still threw for 276 yards and found CeeDee Lamb seven times for 112 yards, and Javonte Williams ran for 98 yards and a touchdown, but the Cowboys (1-2) couldn’t get the one stop that would have kept the game away from Loop’s leg.
The Ravens improve to 2-1. Baltimore’s defense had to survive some attrition of its own, with tight end Mark Andrews briefly leaving in the first half with a hand injury before returning for the fourth quarter, and center Ethan Pocic assisted off the field just before the two-minute warning.
