Down 16, Then Everything Changes
Sixteen points down at halftime. That’s where Denver stood after the Rams tore through them for 273 yards in the first two quarters. Then Bo Nix decided the second half belonged to him.
The quarterback dove over the goal line with 47 seconds on the clock, the last piece of a 30-26 comeback that ended Los Angeles’ eight-game winning streak against AFC opponents. Denver won for the second straight week and sits at 2-1.
Nix threw for 186 yards on 17-of-34 passing, tossed touchdowns to Pat Bryant and Nate Adkins, and converted two two-point passes that turned a blowout into a shootout. Not flashy numbers. Just enough.

Hufanga Swings It Twice
Talanoa Hufanga did the heavy lifting on defense. He picked off Matthew Stafford at the Rams’ 35, broke a tackle attempt, and ran it in for a touchdown that put Denver ahead 23-19 with under five minutes left. Stafford answered 71 seconds later with a 48-yard strike to Konata Mumpfield, and Los Angeles was back in front.
Denver had one answer left: a 10-play, 65-yard march that Nix finished himself. When the Rams got the ball back with two seconds on the clock at the Denver 14, Hufanga stepped in front of Stafford’s throw for his second interception of the night. Game over.
Stafford still threw for 390 yards and two touchdowns, completing 30 of 55 attempts, but that pick-six was his 33rd career pick-six, passing Brett Favre for the most in NFL history. Not the record he wanted.
Adams Piles Up Yards, Rams Fall To 1-2
Davante Adams caught seven passes for 137 yards, and Kyren Williams racked up 158 yards from scrimmage, but none of it mattered once Denver flipped the third quarter into a 16-0 run of its own. Harrison Mevis made four field goals, and the Rams still walked out 1-2, missing Puka Nacua for a second straight game with a hip and groin injury.
Denver has now won ten straight games against NFC teams. The Rams have a short week to figure out why a 273-67 yardage edge in the first half turned into nothing.
