Five minutes of hope, then nothing
FC Utrecht led this match for exactly five minutes. That was the whole of their Sunday afternoon.
Artem Stepanov finished off a cross from the right in the 6th minute to put the hosts in front. Ruben van Bommel levelled for PSV Eindhoven five minutes later, and Guus Til turned the game around just before the interval.

The second half stopped being a contest. Armando Obispo scored on 72 minutes, Mauro Junior on 76, Sven Mijnans on 86, and Til completed his brace two minutes later.
Utrecht did not simply lose. They stopped running.
Van Bommel keeps growing into the Eindhoven shirt. Eredivisie supporters know the surname well from his father Mark, the former Netherlands international who also coached this club, and the son is quietly making it mean something different.
Til gave another reminder of why so few midfielders in this league are as dangerous in the box. Two goals, one of them the strike before half-time that broke Utrecht open.
Goal difference is a currency here
Winning by five on the road matters in an 18-team league where titles have been settled on goal difference more than once.
PSV picked a pointed afternoon to do it. Utrecht had been putting together tidy results and looking upward at a European place before kick-off.
Results like this stay in a dressing room for a while. Nobody in Utrecht knows yet how long.
