Nottingham Forest vs Coventry City: no home goals for one side, no points for the other 
Nottingham Forest have yet to score a single goal at the City Ground since the season began. Coventry City are still stuck on zero points and zero goals after four Premier League games.
Those two rotten runs go head-to-head on Saturday, 19 September, at 18:30 Paris time, at Forest’s City Ground, in the fifth round of the English top flight.
Forest go into it with five points and three league games unbeaten. Coventry are bottom of the table, with 10 goals shipped and a goal difference of minus 10.
So there is only five points between the clubs after a month of football, a gap that sounds small enough until you look at the actual form.
The catch is Forest’s home record. Oliver Glasner has built a side that picks up points everywhere except at home, and that’s exactly the opening Frank Lampard will be hoping to exploit.
Recent history does not exactly scream upset, either: Coventry have lost four of their last five meetings with the Nottingham club.
The last clash came in April 2022 and ended 0-2 in the Championship. The sides had not met in the top flight for decades.
This match really comes down to one question: will Forest finally get going in front of their own fans against the leakiest defence in the league?
Nottingham Forest: five months without a home win at the City Ground 
Forest have collected five points from a possible 12 since the restart. That includes an opening-day defeat to Leeds United, two draws and one win.
That win came at Villa Park in round four, a 2-1 victory. Alysson had put Aston Villa ahead before Liam Delap and Igor Jesus turned it around.
The difference between home and away has been brutal. Three games at the City Ground this season, three blanks: 0-1 against Leeds in the league, 0-2 against Leeds in the EFL Cup, 0-0 against Tottenham.
On Saturday, it will be exactly five months since the club last won a Premier League game in front of their own crowd. That came on 19 April, a 4-1 win over Burnley.
An early cup exit has at least given Glasner a full week to work on this one, while plenty of rivals have been stuck on the conveyor belt.
Igor Jesus changed the game at Villa Park within 13 minutes of coming on. The Brazilian could start alongside Delap in a 3-4-1-2 built around Morgan Gibbs-White.
The defensive area is still the main concern for Forest. Nicolo Savona is out with a knee issue, while Nikola Milenkovic and Jair Cunha felt hamstring tightness in training before the trip to the Midlands.
Even so, the makeshift back line of Ola Aina, Ousmane Diomande and Murillo held up well at Villa Park. It should stay intact on Saturday.
On the right, Daniel Muñoz brings the running power Forest have been missing. The Colombian followed Oliver Glasner from Crystal Palace to the City Ground.

Coventry City: four defeats, no goals and a record nobody wants 
Coventry are the only Premier League side still on zero points after four rounds. The promoted club share another grim label with Tottenham: they are also yet to score in the top flight.
The schedule has not helped one bit: 0-3 at Arsenal, 0-1 against Hull City, 0-1 at Manchester City, then 0-5 against Brighton.
The trip to the Etihad offered a few faint positives. Gianluigi Donnarumma was forced into several key saves to keep Manchester City in front.
Then the 5-0 hammering by Brighton wiped out any good feeling. Coventry now risk becoming the seventh team in Premier League history to lose their first five matches.
Four of the six sides already in that club ended up being relegated at the end of the season. The exceptions are Crystal Palace in 2017-18 and Southampton in 1998-99.
Their first goal against top-flight opposition arrived on Wednesday in the EFL Cup, through a direct free-kick from Victor Torp, in a 1-3 defeat to Aston Villa. Open-play attacking output is still nowhere to be seen.
The exit does at least free up recovery time before a league schedule that is already starting to bite. Frank Lampard can now put everything into survival.
The injury list is making life much harder for the English boss. Aurele Amenda went off after 12 minutes on Wednesday with a calf problem, while Haji Wright, Kaine Kesler-Hayden, Josh Eccles and Luke Woolfenden are also missing.
Taiwo Awoniyi is serving a ban, which removes Coventry’s usual focal point up top. Stephen Mfuni is expected to complete the back three alongside Bobby Thomas and Ethan Pinnock.
Up front, Ellis Simms looks the likeliest to start against Forest. Sidiki Cherif was named in the XI on Wednesday but was withdrawn before the hour mark.

Our prediction: Nottingham Forest to win to nil
Coventry have failed to score in all four league games, and their only goal against top-flight opposition this season came from a direct free-kick. The level of chance creation inside the box is close to non-existent.
The Aina, Diomande, Murillo trio conceded just one goal at Villa Park and is getting sharper with every outing. A full week of preparation after the EFL Cup exit only strengthens that unit.
The City Ground goal drought will eventually end, with Delap and Igor Jesus likely to start together against a defence missing Aurele Amenda. Forest to win and keep a clean sheet.
