Dallas wants a second win in a row
Back-to-back victories have been a rarity in Dallas. Under coach Brian Schottenheimer, the Cowboys have won consecutive games exactly once, a three-game run last November. They get another shot on Sunday, when the Arizona Cardinals visit AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
The Cowboys (3-4) come in on the back of a 38-21 win over Philadelphia on Monday night, played on a short week. Javonte Williams ran for a career-high 155 yards, and Dallas cleared 200 yards on the ground and through the air. Dak Prescott said momentum can build quickly if the team repeats that effort, but only if the preparation matches it.
The calendar helps. After the Eagles, Dallas faces six games in which only one opponent, 6-1 San Francisco, has a winning record. A win over Arizona would also keep the Cowboys within reach of NFC East leader New York.

Arizona keeps stalling in the red zone
The Cardinals (2-5) lost 30-16 at home to Denver last week. They moved the ball against an elite defense but scored one touchdown on five trips inside the red zone. A week earlier they beat the Rams 18-16 with six field goals and a 0-for-5 showing in the red zone.
First-year coach Mike LaFleur said the team has to finish drives together. He also pushed back on talk that Jacoby Brissett could lose the starting job to Gardner Minshew or rookie Carson Beck, pointing to 10 trips inside the 10-yard line across the last two games.
The defense is the bigger worry. Arizona gives up a league-worst 29.7 points per game, has 15 sacks and only three interceptions. Nine Cardinals missed Wednesday’s practice, including right tackle Elijah Wilkinson (knee) and guard Jon Gaines II (ankle). Rookie running back Jeremiyah Love (ankle) was limited and could return. On the Dallas side, receiver George Pickens (shoulder/hamstring) carried a limited designation after a walkthrough.
Arizona is 4-0 all-time at AT&T Stadium, a streak the Cowboys will want to end.
