Taylor shuts down the trade talk
Jonathan Taylor says he has not asked Indianapolis for a trade. The Colts running back addressed the question Thursday, two days after the team sent guard Quenton Nelson to Seattle and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to San Francisco. Both are multiple-time Pro Bowlers.
Taylor said he is proud to wear the horseshoe. He added that he cannot control whether a deal happens and hopes it does not come to that. Staying locked in is hard right now, he admitted, but he is trying to focus on what he can control.

Production on a losing team
The Colts sit at 2-5, yet Taylor has been one of the few constants. The 27-year-old has 587 rushing yards and a league-leading eight rushing touchdowns through seven games. Next up is a home date Sunday with Jacksonville, which enters at 4-2.
A résumé worth protecting
Indianapolis drafted Taylor in the second round in 2020 out of Wisconsin. He is a three-time Pro Bowler with 8,185 rushing yards and 77 touchdowns in 91 career games. He won the 2021 rushing title with 1,811 yards, and he led the league in rushing touchdowns that year and again in 2025, with 18 each time.
