100 losses. Thats the line the Angels are still trying not to cross. A whole franchise and it has never gone there. On Thursday night in Seattle, they held on. 6-4 against the Mariners. A win that changes nothing in the standings. It still matters.
Los Angeles remains, for now, the only team in Major League history never to get to 100 losses in a season. A streak of survival that is hanging by a thread. With this one, the Angels move to 61 wins and 98 losses.

Moore and Lowe do the damage
Christian Moore came up big. Two hits, including a key double. Three runs batted in. Josh Lowe backed him up: a single, a double, three runs scored. Between them, they turned the game.
In the sixth inning, they put up two runs against Bryan Woo. The Angels moved in front, 5-4. Moore’s double brought home Moises Ballesteros and Josh Lowe, who had been hit by a pitch earlier. In the eighth, Denzer Guzman worked a walk, then scored on a Bryce Teodosio single. That was that.

Rodriguez hits hard, but Seattle are already done
On the other side, Julio Rodriguez kept swinging. A 451-foot home run, the second-longest of his career. Pure class, but it wasnt enough. The Mariners had already taken a hit earlier in the day: their playoff hopes had gone up in smoke after the Yankees lost to Texas.
Its still ugly for Los Angeles. But every win pushes the 100-loss nightmare a little further away. Grayson Rodriguez lasted five innings and gave up four runs. Ryan Watson shut the door in the ninth. A save. Nothing flashy, but useful. A few games are left. Now every win counts twice.
