Manly Sea Eagles vs Gold Coast Titans – Free NRL prediction and picks – May 23, 2026

Sea Eagles vs Titans: Manly look to keep the climb going National Rugby League — Wikipedia

The second fixture of this trimmed-down Super Saturday takes us to Sydney for a showdown between a Manly side full of confidence and a Titans outfit still desperately searching for a proper 80-minute reference point.

The ladder suggests a clear gap between the two, but State of Origin week always throws in a bit of chaos. A number of key men will be missing on both sides, which could make this a far more open, attack-minded contest than it first appears.

One thing is clear enough, though: Manly arrive with far more certainty.

The Sea Eagles are flying since Foran took over Manly Warringah Sea Eagles - Wikipedia

A few weeks ago, this team looked lost. Now the Sea Eagles look like one of the most dangerous sides in the competition.

Since Kieran Foran stepped in as interim coach, the Sea Eagles have completely changed their shape. The results have followed, but more importantly, the performances keep getting better.

The demolition of the Tigers at Magic Round only backed that up.

A 48-18 win, near-total control for an hour, and an attack that kept finding answers. Jason Saab bagged a hat-trick, the edges did serious damage, and Manly played with a level of confidence that was nowhere to be seen earlier in the season.

What stands out most is the slickness of the attack right now.

The Sea Eagles are moving the ball quickly, making big post-contact metres and constantly creating space out wide. With more than 10 metres gained per carry against the Tigers and 14 line breaks created, Manly’s attack now looks like a machine that is very hard to stop once it gets rolling.

Even defensively, the signs are better.

They’re tackling harder, defending with more aggression and looking much more connected as a unit. It is not perfect yet, but compared with the opening weeks of the season, it is a huge step forward.

The Titans are still stuck with the same problems Gold Coast Titans - Wikipedia

For Gold Coast, the feeling after every game is much the same: there is talent here, but far too much inconsistency.

Against the Knights last week, the Titans did show some good signs for 40 minutes. At half-time it was 6-6 and they looked capable of matching the physical battle.

Then it all fell apart after the break.

The big issue is still their inability to keep intensity and discipline for a full game. With just 63 % completion against Newcastle, the Titans kept putting themselves under pressure.

Defensively, the problems are still there too.

Thirty-two missed tackles and seven line breaks conceded pretty much sum up where this side is right now. Once the tempo lifts, or opponents start stacking quick sets, Gold Coast nearly always fold.

The absence of Tino Fa’asuamaleaui for State of Origin does not help either. Moeaki Fotuaika will have to shoulder a huge load through the middle if the Titans are to stop Manly taking early physical control of the game.

And that is probably where this one can swing very quickly.

NRL prediction Sea Eagles vs Titans

Over 46.5 points

The shape of both teams points firmly towards a high-scoring game. The Sea Eagles are probably in their best attacking stretch of the season, while the Titans continue to struggle badly at the back whenever the pace increases.

Even with a few important absences, Manly should still create plenty. Gold Coast also has enough attacking quality to chip in with points of its own.

This looks like the kind of match that could run fast and produce plenty of tries at both ends.

A quick word on our picks first

  • What we publish on mathodds is analysis, nothing more. We give an opinion, a reading of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport is what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a goal from nowhere… and the script changes completely.
  • Let’s be clear: there is no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing really is. And yes, that means you can lose. In fact, at some point, you will.
  • The smart play is to keep it sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Do not touch money you need to live. And above all: do not chase losses, because it rarely ends well.
  • A bet should stay a bit of fun, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking over your life, if it is irritating you or putting you under pressure, take a break. And if you need to, speak to a specialist support group. That is what they are there for.
  • In the end, the responsibility is yours. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, even with the best analysis in the world.
  • Important reminder: betting is forbidden to minors and must comply with the laws of your country. Gambling can spiral fast (money losses, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.

No commitment from us

Our predictions are not a contract. They carry no legal weight. In plain English: you cannot use them to claim anything if a bet goes down.

Information moves fast

A prediction is always based on what we know when it is written. But in the meantime, a team list changes (like the Sea Eagles’ one, for example), a player gets hurt, the weather turns, and the analysis can quickly be out of date. We cannot be held responsible for that.

Your responsibility

Before you bet, make sure gambling is legal where you are. If it is not, that is your responsibility, not ours.

Responsible gambling first

We cannot say it enough: bet in moderation. If you are struggling to stay in control, do not wait to get help. We cannot be responsible for compulsive or excessive use of the information published on the site.

Legal age

mathodds content is for adults only. By using this site, you confirm that you are old enough in law to bet.
