Getafe vs Malaga: three goals in six rounds for the Andalusian newcomers 
Malaga have found the net only three times in six La Liga games. No side in Spain’s top flight has been that blunt in front of goal at this stage.
That tally goes a long way to explaining their three-point haul and 19th place. Getafe are two points better off and sit 16th.
Kickoff is on Sunday, September 20 at 14:00 Paris time at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez. Both sides start the Sunday schedule needing a result.
Getafe are coming off a 1-0 defeat at Real Betis and have picked up only two points from their last four league games. Still, the Madrid club finished seventh last season.
Malaga are still waiting for their first win since returning to the top flight via the Segunda Division playoffs. Three draws and three defeats make up their record, along with 11 goals conceded.
Both teams have also played more matches than the rest of the division this season. Getafe booked their place in the Conference League group stage after a 4-3 aggregate win over Partizan.
The head-to-head record is tight, with Getafe claiming 11 wins in 26 meetings in all competitions. Even so, they have won three of the last four against the Andalusians.
This one closes out the schedule before the international break. Both clubs then get two weeks off.
Getafe: unbeaten at the Coliseum but missing six players 
Getafe’s La Liga record after six rounds reads one win, two draws and three defeats. Five points leave them 16th, just two clear of the drop zone.
The home record is far more encouraging for Jose Bordalas. They have not lost at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez this season, beating Racing Santander and drawing with Celta Vigo and Deportivo La Coruna.
Both home draws finished 1-1. The win over Racing was by a 1-0 scoreline.
All three defeats have come away from home, in Vitoria, Pamplona and Sevilla. The contrast is obvious.
The Madrid side have scored only five goals in six matches. Their attack has been every bit as sparse as their opponent’s.
The fixture load is starting to bite, with eight games already played across the league and the Conference League playoffs. Qualification was squeezed out 4-3 on aggregate against Partizan, despite a 2-1 loss in Belgrade.
Mario Martin is suspended after his red card against Betis, while five players are out injured: Abdel Abqar, Juanmi, Kiko Femenia, Borja Mayoral and Christantus Uche. The squad is stretched.
Enes Unal should lead the line, with Johan Mojica and Alberto Risco Alcantara also in contention to start. Nemanja Gudelj remains the anchor in front of the back four.
Mayoral’s absence leaves Bordalas short of another attacking option. The Unal-Satriano pair will have to carry Getafe’s threat on their own.

Malaga: seven out and still no win in the top flight 
Malaga have drawn three and lost three of their opening six La Liga matches. Three points, 19th place, and a painful return to the top flight.
Those three points have all come from draws. The Andalusian club are the only team in La Liga still without a win this season.
September had started fairly well, with back-to-back draws against Levante and Celta Vigo. The 0-0 against the Valencia side remains the only game this season in which they have not conceded.
Villarreal ended that run with a 3-1 win at La Rosaleda last week. Eleven goals conceded in six matches tells its own story.
Their heaviest defeats came against Atletico Madrid, 2-0, and Real Madrid, 4-0. Those two games do plenty of the damage.
Eleven conceded and just three scored gives them a goal difference of minus eight. That alone explains their place in the table.
The injury list is long and hits every department: Julen Lobete, Fernando Calero, Moussa Diarra, Diego Murillo, Aaron Ochoa, Adam Aznou and Jens Cajuste are all out. Seven absentees in a promoted squad is a serious burden.
Chupe is one of three players to have scored once this season and should keep his spot up front. Carlos Dotor, also a scorer, is expected to start at the Coliseum too.
The Andalusian club are also said to be in advanced talks with Anthony Martial. The former Manchester United forward is not eligible for this trip to Getafe.

This one should stay tight and finish with fewer than three goals. The bet is under 2.5 goals.
