Galatasaray vs Fenerbahce: four derbies without a league win for the visitors
Fenerbahce haven’t won any of their last four league derbies against Galatasaray: two draws, two defeats. The last time they went to RAMS Park, in April 2026, they lost 3-0, with Victor Osimhen and Baris Alper Yilmaz among the scorers.
Their last league win on this ground was a 1-0 in May 2024. Since then Galatasaray have stretched their unbeaten home league run to 39 matches, 31 of them wins and eight draws.
The ninth round of the Süper Lig brings the two together on Monday 26 October, 18:30 UK time (21:30 in Istanbul). The TFF looked at moving the game to Sunday and decided to leave it where it was.
Okan Buruk’s side top the table with 19 points from eight games: six wins, one draw, one defeat. Ismail Kartal’s Fenerbahce are three points back on 16, so a home win would open a six-point gap before November.
The prices reflect a closer game than the history suggests. Galatasaray are 2.23 to win, the draw is 3.90 and Fenerbahce 3.07. I think the market is giving the visitors too much credit for an 8-0 against Eyupspor.
Galatasaray: 39 unbeaten at RAMS Park, but a 4-0 hiding at Trabzonspor still fresh
The one blot on Galatasaray’s league season came at Trabzonspor, a 4-0 defeat that also accounts for more than a third of the 11 league goals they’ve conceded. That’s a lot for a leader, and it’s the part of their game I trust least.
They responded with a 3-1 win over Kasimpasa and a scrappy 1-0 against Genclerbirligi, settled late by Deniz Gul. Around those games came a 3-3 draw with Pendikspor and a 4-1 defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League.
Wednesday’s trip to Lille went the other way. Galatasaray won 4-2 in France, a result that says more about what this attack can do on a good night than the narrow league wins do.
Osimhen has six league goals and three assists, and nobody in the side has been rated higher. Gabriel Sara, with two goals and two assists from midfield, is the one who feeds him.
Lucas Torreira is back from suspension and Lesley Ugochukwu is free after a two-match ban. Rafael Leao has a groin strain and is doubtful, Baris Alper Yilmaz played through discomfort in Lille, and Wilfried Singo is close to returning from a thigh problem.

Fenerbahce: 22 goals scored, six conceded, and no Asensio or Ake for the trip
Fenerbahce’s league numbers are the best in the division at one end and second-best at the other. They’ve scored 22, more than anyone, and only Trabzonspor have conceded fewer than their six.
Eight of those goals arrived in one afternoon against Eyupspor, and they’ve followed it with 3-0 wins over Caykur Rizespor and Alanyaspor. Before that run, they’d collected seven points from their first five games, including a 1-2 defeat to Besiktas and a 0-0 at Gaziantep.
In the Champions League, Aston Villa beat them 6-0, and a 2-2 draw with Slavia Prague means one point from their last two Champions League games.
The injury list is heavy in the wrong places. Marco Asensio is out after knee cartilage surgery, Nathan Ake is expected to miss around three weeks with a hamstring problem picked up in the Champions League, and Mert Muldur has a meniscus issue that should keep him out. Jayden Oosterwolde is being monitored.
Vedat Muriqi carries the attack with seven league goals, one more than Osimhen, and Mason Greenwood has four. Romelu Lukaku is close to a return, which gives Kartal another option off the bench if Fenerbahce are chasing the game.
Probable lineup Galatasaray: Cakir; Sallai, Sanchez, Bardakci, Elmali; Torreira, Lemina; Sane, Sara, Yilmaz; Osimhen
Probable lineup Fenerbahce: Ederson; Semedo, Skriniar, Oppong, Mercan; Kante, Guendouzi; Aydin, Kahveci, Greenwood; Muriqi

Our prediction: Galatasaray Draw No Bet at 1.58
I’d back Galatasaray here, and I’d take the draw out of the equation. Thirty-nine league games unbeaten at RAMS Park, a 3-0 in the same fixture six months ago and four derbies in a row without a Fenerbahce league win point the same way.
Fenerbahce can score: 22 goals in eight games makes that clear, and with over 2.5 goals at 1.49 the market expects them to. But a back line without Ake and Muldur, and a midfield without Asensio’s creativity, makes this a harder away day than the last three league results suggest.
Galatasaray’s defence did ship four at Trabzonspor, and that’s the risk. With Torreira back to protect it and Osimhen in form at the other end, I’ll take the Draw No Bet at 1.58 and get my stake back if Fenerbahce hang on for a point.

About our free predictions
- What we publish on MathOdds are analyses, nothing more. We share a view, a reading of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport remains what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a last-minute goal, and the script changes completely.
- Let’s be clear: there is no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing ever is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s even inevitable at some point.
- The smartest approach is to stay reasonable. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Never use money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase your losses: that rarely ends well.
- A bet should remain a game, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your daily life, causes stress or frustration, take a break. And if needed, talk to a support organisation: that’s what they’re there for.
- Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, no matter how good the analysis.
- Essential reminder: gambling is prohibited for minors and must comply with the laws of your country. Need help? Visit begambleaware.org.
