Igor Jesus stings Villa with an 88th-minute winner
Nottingham Forest won 2-1 at Villa Park this afternoon. Igor Jesus struck in the 88th minute. Morgan Gibbs-White flicked on a cutback from Daniel Munoz, and the striker shoved the ball home from six yards.
It was Forest’s first win under Oliver Glasner. The club had waited four rounds for it. The first half went nowhere. The game finally opened up just after the break, when Liam Delap found the left side netting from 20 metres out, beyond the reach of Zion Suzuki. Delap’s first goal for Forest.

Villa drew level through Alysson, who headed in from a John McGinn cross. It was the Villans’ first league goal of the season. Four matches in, and they finally had something to show for it.

One point from four for Villa
Villa sit 19th with just one point. It is their third defeat in four Premier League matches. Last season they finished in the top half, but this one has started with the worst attacking return in the division.
Forest move on to a group of four teams on five points. Glasner, who arrived this summer, wanted a strong start to his spell. He has got one, and with a new signing getting on the scoresheet.
