Caykur Rizespor vs Trabzonspor: Salah’s eight goals against a home side yet to score at the Didi
Mohamed Salah has scored eight league goals for Trabzonspor, more than anyone in the Süper Lig. Aral Simsir, who plays alongside him in the line behind the striker, has created seven big chances, also the most in the division. Those two numbers frame Monday’s trip to the Caykur Didi Stadium, kick-off 16:00 UK time on 26 October, because the home side have had no answer to that kind of quality at their own ground.
Rizespor have played three league games at home this season and lost all three. They haven’t scored in any of them and have conceded six, which makes them the only side in the division without a home point. The latest of those was a 3-0 defeat by Fenerbahce on 10 October.
The strange part is that Recep Ucar’s side have still collected ten points, all of them on the road. Wins at Gaziantep (2-1) and Eyupspor (2-0) and a 2-2 draw at Goztepe kept them in mid-table, and they sit 12th after eight games. Their first away defeat came last time out, 2-1 at Çorum, when Youssoufa Moukoko scored the winner in the 81st minute.
Trabzonspor arrive fourth with 16 points, three behind leaders Galatasaray, and on a run of four straight wins in all competitions: 3-0 at Samsunspor, 4-2 at KuPS, 2-0 against Besiktas and 2-0 against Hearts in the Conference League on Thursday. They’ve scored 11 and conceded two across those four games.
Thomas Reis’s side do have an away problem to explain, with four points from four league trips. That’s the one reason to hesitate before backing them here, and it’s the reason the price on a Trabzonspor win is still close to 2.00 rather than much shorter.
Caykur Rizespor: three winless games and a long injury list
Rizespor started well enough, winning three of their opening five league games. Since then they’ve drawn at Goztepe and lost to Fenerbahce and Çorum, a run of three games without a win. The defeat at Çorum came after Qazim Laci had given them the lead in the 33rd minute, with Cengiz Under and Moukoko turning it round.
At home the problem has been at the attacking end. Three games, zero goals, with defeats by Alanyaspor (0-1) and Fenerbahce (0-3) among them. Every one of Rizespor’s ten points has come away from home, and nothing in those three home performances suggests Ucar has found a way to make his side dangerous in front of its own supporters.
The squad is stretched. Khusniddin Alikulov has a serious knee injury and is reportedly targeting an early November return. Ahmed Kutucu is unavailable, Can Bozdogan is injured and Attila Mocsi is reportedly out with a hamstring strain, which leaves Ucar with four senior players unavailable at once.
Laci, the scorer at Çorum, and Mebude are expected in a midfield four behind Sowe, the lone striker in a 4-1-4-1. Antalyali sits in front of a back four of Pala, Bakayoko, Sagnan and Ariss, and that defensive line will spend most of the afternoon dealing with Salah, Simsir and Muci.
Recent meetings offer little comfort. Rizespor have lost their last four games against Trabzonspor in all competitions, including 2-1 at home in October 2025 and 1-0 away in March 2026. Their last win in the fixture was 3-1 at home in November 2024.

Trabzonspor: four straight wins and the league’s top scorer
Trabzonspor’s home form has been the base of their season. They beat Galatasaray 4-0 and Genclerbirligi 5-0 at home, then beat Besiktas 2-0 on 19 October. Their away results are patchier: a draw at Kasimpasa, defeats at Amed SK (2-1) and Konyaspor (1-0), and a 3-0 win at Samsunspor on 10 October.
The Samsunspor win matters because it’s the most recent league away game, and it suggests the side has found a way to travel. The 4-2 win at KuPS in Europe followed, and the attacking numbers have held up whichever ground they’re on.
Salah is the main reason. Eight league goals puts him top of the scoring chart, and with Simsir and Muci alongside him behind the striker, Trabzonspor have three players capable of deciding a game against a defence like Rizespor’s.
There are fitness questions. Paul Onuachu picked up a hamstring injury against KuPS and will be assessed late, while Arseniy Batagov is being treated for a thigh muscle problem. Ruslan Malinovskyi is out after knee surgery, Okay Yokuslu has a cartilage issue and Mustafa Eskihellac is unavailable. Dju is expected to start up front, with Salah, Muci and Simsir in the line behind him.
The Didi hasn’t always been kind to them. Trabzonspor have lost three of their last four league trips to Rize, although the most recent one, in October 2025, ended in a 2-1 win. Reis’s side are a different proposition now from the one that lost there in 2024.
Probable lineup Caykur Rizespor: Fofana; Pala, Bakayoko, Sagnan, Ariss; Antalyali; Mebude, Olawoyin, Laci, Mihaila; Sowe
Probable lineup Trabzonspor: Onana; Pina, Nwaiwu, Savic, Cabral; Jabol-Folcarelli, Mendy; Salah, Muci, Simsir; Dju

Our prediction: Trabzonspor to win (odds 1.82)
Rizespor haven’t scored or taken a point in three home league games, and they’ve lost four straight meetings with Trabzonspor. Their visitors have won four in a row in all competitions, scoring 11 and conceding two, and they have the division’s top scorer and its leading chance creator in the same front line.
Trabzonspor’s away record in the league, four points from four, is a fair reason for caution, and Onuachu’s fitness is a doubt. Even so, the most recent away trip ended 3-0 at Samsunspor, and Rizespor’s home attack hasn’t produced a single goal to test a defence that has conceded twice in four games.
I’d back Trabzonspor to win at 1.82. A home side that hasn’t scored at its own ground all season is a poor bet to stop a team in this kind of form.

About our free predictions
- What we publish on MathOdds are analyses, nothing more. We share a view, a reading of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport remains what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a last-minute goal, and the script changes completely.
- Let’s be clear: there is no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing ever is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s even inevitable at some point.
- The smartest approach is to stay reasonable. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Never use money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase your losses: that rarely ends well.
- A bet should remain a game, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your daily life, causes stress or frustration, take a break. And if needed, talk to a support organisation: that’s what they’re there for.
- Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, no matter how good the analysis.
- Essential reminder: gambling is prohibited for minors and must comply with the laws of your country. Need help? Visit begambleaware.org.
