Fauthoux returns
France coach Jean-Aimé Toupane has named his women’s squad for the start of Euro 2027 qualifying in mid-November, and the headline name is Marine Fauthoux. The 25-year-old point guard, a 2024 Olympic silver medallist with 77 caps, last played for France on June 3, 2025, when she badly injured her knee against Belgium in Euro preparation.
She was later part of the extended group for the 2026 World Cup but never rejoined the team, and was left out of the final squad while playing in the WNBA for the New York Liberty. This time her real comeback looks set to happen.
