Early goal sets the tone at the Emirates
Konsa gave Arsenal the lead after seven minutes, and the hosts rarely looked like losing it. Everton, coached by David Moyes, won more duels (50 to 40) and was only one shot on target behind, three to four. What they could not match was Arsenal’s grip on the ball. The Gunners finished with 58 percent possession and 508 passes to Everton’s 368.
The visitors turned ragged as the game wore on. Vitalii Mykolenko picked up a booking in first-half stoppage time, and James Garner and James Tarkowski followed in the second half. Moyes was cautioned on the touchline too, so Everton ended the afternoon with four yellow cards.

Gabriel makes sure of it
Gabriel Magalhaes made it 2-0 in the 68th minute, just as Mikel Arteta was reshaping his side. Kai Havertz, Riccardo Calafiori and Bruno Guimaraes came on around the hour for Viktor Gyokeres, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Mikel Merino. Martin Zubimendi and Max Dowman arrived later for Declan Rice and Eberechi Eze.
Everton lost Mykolenko to an injury in the 74th minute, with Hackney replacing him, and never created a clear route back into the match. Arteta and Lewis-Skelly were both booked on the Arsenal side.
