Aarhus vs Braga: one goal in four away games for the visitors
Braga have scored once in their last four away matches. They haven’t won any of them, and they’ve failed to score in three, which is a poor record for a side priced as favourites in Denmark.
I’d start there because the market hasn’t. Thursday’s prices have Braga at 2.33, the draw at 3.54 and Aarhus at 3.07, a gap that leans on reputation more than on what either side has done since late September.
Kick-off at Cepheus Park is 17:45 UK time on Thursday 5 November, in the third round of the Conference League league phase. Aarhus are 26th with one point. Braga are 16th with three.
The two clubs split their opening games differently. Aarhus lost 1-0 at Gent and drew 1-1 with Egnatia, while Braga were beaten 3-0 at Copenhagen and then won 2-0 at home to Gent.
They’ve no previous meetings on record, so form is all there is. Braga’s October league results make the case for the home side by themselves.
Aarhus: two wins and a draw from three home games, 0.67 conceded
Three of Aarhus’s last ten matches were at home. They won two, drew the other, scored 2.00 a game and conceded 0.67.
The away figures sit well below that: 1.14 points per game across seven trips and no clean sheet. This is a team with two very different faces, and Thursday brings out the better one.
Their league position doesn’t flatter them. As of 18 October they were tenth in the Superliga with nine points from 11 games, one win, six draws and four defeats, with 15 goals scored and 18 conceded.
Six draws in 11 tells me they’re hard to put away. Janni Serra had five league goals at that stage, level for third in the division’s scoring chart and the club’s leading scorer.
The European campaign has been narrow rather than bad. Gent won by a single goal on 15 October, and the 1-1 with Egnatia a week later was settled by two goals on 13 and 49 minutes.
The underlying numbers are closer to average: 1.43 expected goals for and 1.62 against over ten games. Aarhus failed to score in three of those ten, all of them on the road. At home they’ve scored in every game of that sample, and that’s the setting Braga walk into.

Braga: three straight league defeats and 0.25 goals a game on the road
Braga lost three league games in a row in October: 3-1 at home to Sporting on 9 October, 2-1 at home to Gil Vicente ten days later and 1-0 at Nacional on 25 October.
Their last ten matches have produced three wins, two draws and five defeats, or 1.10 points per game. The cup game with Famalicao on 29 October finished 2-2, so that bad run has only slowed.
On the road it’s been far worse. Four away games in that sample brought one draw and three defeats, 0.25 goals scored per game and 1.50 conceded, with no goal in three of the four.
There is a better side in there somewhere. Expected goals over those ten games read 1.82 for and 0.98 against, numbers that don’t match the results, and Gomez and Martinez both scored in the 2-0 win over Gent on 22 October.
That win was at home, though, and home is where almost all of Braga’s football has been working. The 3-0 at Copenhagen on 15 October is their only away game in this competition so far.
September was kinder. Braga beat Alverca 2-1 and Estoril 1-0, lost 2-1 at Estrela and drew 0-0 at Santa Clara, which dates the slide to the start of October. Since then they’ve won once in six listed games, and that was the Gent match.

Free Conference League Prediction: Aarhus vs Braga
Our prediction: Aarhus to win (3.07)
Aarhus have taken seven points from their last three home games. Braga have one point from their last four away games and have scored once in them.
Braga’s expected goals are the honest argument against me, and Aarhus have one Superliga win from their first 11. I’d want to see that show up away from home before paying 2.33 for it.
At 3.07, Aarhus to win is the bet. Six league draws say they’re difficult to beat, the Cepheus Park numbers say they’ve been difficult to score against, and Braga arrive having lost three league games in a row.

About our free predictions
- What we publish on MathOdds are analyses, nothing more. We share a view, a reading of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport remains what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a last-minute goal, and the script changes completely.
- Let’s be clear: there is no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing ever is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s even inevitable at some point.
- The smartest approach is to stay reasonable. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Never use money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase your losses: that rarely ends well.
- A bet should remain a game, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your daily life, causes stress or frustration, take a break. And if needed, talk to a support organisation: that’s what they’re there for.
- Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, no matter how good the analysis.
- Essential reminder: gambling is prohibited for minors and must comply with the laws of your country. Need help? Visit begambleaware.org.
