Albania vs Belarus: one goal in five games against five straight unbeaten matches, the gap in form is brutal
Albania have scored just once in their last five games, and lost all five. Belarus, over the same stretch, have not been beaten and have found the net nine times.
Those two runs paint the picture for Saturday night. They fly in the face of the supposed pecking order between the two sides.
The match takes place at Air Albania Stadium in Tirana, with kick-off at 20:45 Paris time. It opens Group C1 for both teams.
Group C1 also features Finland and San Marino. The other two sides meet on the same Saturday, with Finland heading to Serravalle later in the afternoon.
Finland are seen as the main threat for top spot, which makes this opener even more delicate. Lose at home to Belarus and the promotion race gets messy fast.
Albania come into this campaign on the back of a heavy spell. Five defeats on the bounce, including three against sides they would expect to compete with.
The league phase runs until 17 November 2026, with promotion to League B for the group winner and relegation to League D for the bottom side. With only six rounds, a fast start matters.
Albania: five straight defeats and just one goal in the run
Albania have lost their last five games. The run began on 16 November 2025 with a 2-0 defeat to England.
Their only goal in that spell came in Poland on 26 March, in a 2-1 defeat. The other four matches ended without them scoring.
The last three losses are the worrying part. A 1-0 defeat to Ukraine in late March, then 1-0 reverses against Israel on 3 June and Luxembourg on 6 June.
Same story each time: one conceded, none scored. Albania’s issue is not at the back. It’s right up front.
To be fair, the defensive numbers are not a disaster given the results. Seven conceded in five games, only two of them against England, and never more than two in a single match.
Hosting Belarus is therefore the first kind fixture they’ve had for a while. But they still need to find the net, and they have not done that at home since November.
Try it for $0.99.
Belarus: three wins and two draws in five games, with only four goals conceded
Belarus are unbeaten in five: three wins and two draws. That run started with a 0-0 draw against Greece in World Cup qualifying on 18 November 2025.
Both wins in March came away from home. A 1-0 success in Cyprus on 26 March, then a 2-1 victory in Armenia three days later.
That away form is the clearest argument heading to Tirana. Belarus have won their last two European away games and did not concede more than once in either.
June only strengthened the case for their attack. A 4-1 win over Syria on 5 June, then a 2-2 draw with Burkina Faso on 9 June, for six goals across two games.
Defensively, the numbers are even better. Four conceded in five matches, two clean sheets, and never more than two in any game.
The only caveat is the standard of the last two opponents, Syria and Burkina Faso, who offer no direct European comparison. The March wins in Nicosia and Yerevan are still the best reference points.

Football Prediction Albania vs Belarus
Our tip: Belarus or draw double chance
The first argument is simple and brutal. Albania have scored once in their last five matches, and none in their last four.
The second is Belarus’ recent away record. Two European trips in March, two wins, and only one goal conceded across both.
A side that has not scored in four matches does not usually break down a defence that has shipped four goals in five. We are backing Belarus or the draw in Albania.
in your pocket.

Before anything else, a word on our free tips
- What we publish on mathodds is analysis, nothing more. We give an opinion, a read on the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport is what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal from nowhere… and the script changes completely.
- Let’s be clear: there is no risk-free bet. Even when something looks obvious, it never really is. And yes, that means you can lose. It is unavoidable at some point.
- The best approach is to keep it sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Do not touch money you need for day-to-day living. And above all, do not chase losses. That rarely ends well.
- A bet should stay a game, not a job or a source of income. If you feel it’s taking up too much space in your life, getting on your nerves or putting you under pressure, take a break. And if needed, speak to a specialist organisation. That is what they are there for.
- In the end, responsibility is yours. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, even with the best analysis in the world.
- Essential reminder: betting is forbidden for minors and must follow the law in your country. Gambling can spiral quickly, leading to money problems, family tension and addiction. Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.

Our predictions are not a contract. They carry no legal weight. In plain English: you cannot rely on them to claim anything if a bet fails.
Information changes
A prediction is always based on what is known when it is written. But in the meantime, a team sheet changes, a player gets injured, the weather turns… and the analysis can quickly go stale. We cannot be held responsible for that.
