Alanyaspor vs Trabzonspor: a 5-0 defeat in Ankara, and five straight league wins for the visitors
Alanyaspor lost 5-0 at Genclerbirligi last weekend. It was their third straight Süper Lig defeat, after losses to Kocaelispor and Fenerbahce, and it means they’ve conceded ten goals in three league games going into the visit of Trabzonspor on Sunday 8 November, kick-off 15:30 UK time.
The timing is poor for Joao Pereira’s side, because Trabzonspor arrive in the best domestic form of anyone in the division. Thomas Reis’s team have won their last five league games, against Caykur Rizespor, Besiktas, Samsunspor, Galatasaray and Gaziantep, and no side has taken more points over that stretch.
The table shows the gap. Trabzonspor are third with 22 points from ten games, seven wins, one draw and two defeats, and they’ve scored 24 goals while conceding eight. Alanyaspor are 12th on 12 points, with nine goals scored and 16 conceded.
There is one reason to slow down before writing this off as a formality, and it’s the head-to-head. Alanyaspor are unbeaten in their last three competitive meetings with Trabzonspor: a 1-1 draw in Trabzon in November 2025, a 1-0 win there in December and a 1-1 draw in Alanya on 11 April.
The home record in this fixture is even better for Alanyaspor, who are unbeaten in their last four meetings at the Alanya Oba Stadium, with three wins and a draw. The market still has Trabzonspor clear favourites at 1.64, with the draw at 4.00 and the home win at 5.00.
Alanyaspor: one home league win all season, and a back three that has just let in five
Before this losing run, Alanyaspor had gone four league games unbeaten, with two wins and two draws, and conceded only three goals in that spell. The collapse since then has been sudden, and it’s been almost entirely a defensive one.
The 5-0 in Ankara came with Fatih Aksoy missing from the back three, and Bedirhan Ozyurt came in to replace him. Aksoy is a doubt again for Sunday, which leaves Pereira with the same problem he couldn’t solve last weekend.
Paolo Fernandes is also expected to miss out with a muscle injury. In midfield, Gaius Makouta, Maestro and Baran Gezek should start, with Ruan and Florent Hadergjonaj at wing-back.
Home form doesn’t offer much comfort. Alanyaspor haven’t won any of their last three league games at the Alanya Oba Stadium, drawing two and losing the most recent to Kocaelispor, and their only home league win this season came against Besiktas.
Their one recent win came in the Turkish Cup, a 4-1 over Bingol. That ended a three-match winless run at home in all competitions, but it came against a lower-division side and says little about how this defence will cope with a top-three attack.

Trabzonspor: Salah’s eight goals, Muci’s six assists, and a Thursday defeat to Freiburg
The league winning run was part of a seven-game streak in all competitions, and it ended on Thursday night. Freiburg won 1-0 in Trabzon in the Conference League, Reis’s side’s first defeat in eight matches.
How Trabzonspor react to that matters, because they’re three points behind leaders Galatasaray and a slip here would widen the gap. Their away form has turned around: after failing to win any of their first four away games of the season, they’ve won their last three on the road in all competitions.
Mohamed Salah, who joined from Liverpool in August on a two-year deal, has eight league goals, one behind Victor Osimhen and Gift Orban at the top of the scoring chart. In October he became the first player to reach ten goal contributions in his first seven Süper Lig games, a run that included a hat-trick in the 4-0 home win over Galatasaray.
Ernest Muci leads the league with six assists, so the two players most involved in Trabzonspor’s goals line up next to each other. Paul Onuachu is expected to lead the line, with Muci and Salah either side of him.
The absence list is longer than Alanyaspor’s. Arseniy Batagov, Ruslan Malinovskyi, Okay Yokuslu and Aral Simsir could all miss out, and Cihan Canak and Franculino are doubts, although Sidny Lopes Cabral is available again after missing the Freiburg game through suspension.
Probable lineup Alanyaspor: Victor; Lima, Ozyurt, Aliti; Hadergjonaj, Makouta, Gezek, Maestro, Ruan; Kaya, Cedric
Probable lineup Trabzonspor: Onana; Pina, Savic, Nwaiwu, Lopes Cabral; Fabinho, Kabasakal; Saviolo, Muci, Salah; Onuachu

Our prediction: Trabzonspor to win at 1.64
The head-to-head is the case for Alanyaspor, and I don’t dismiss it: three games unbeaten against Trabzonspor and four unbeaten against them at home is a real pattern. But those results came before this Trabzonspor side had Salah and Muci producing at this rate, and before Alanyaspor’s defence started conceding more than three a game.
The numbers from the last month are hard to argue with. Trabzonspor have won five league games in a row and three straight away from home, while Alanyaspor have lost three on the bounce and could be without Aksoy again in a back three that just let in five.
The Freiburg defeat is a minor concern, and Reis is missing several squad players. Even so, Trabzonspor have scored 24 league goals to Alanyaspor’s nine, and that gap should decide it. Trabzonspor to win at 1.64 is our pick.

About our free predictions
- What we publish on MathOdds are analyses, nothing more. We share a view, a reading of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport remains what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a last-minute goal, and the script changes completely.
- Let’s be clear: there is no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing ever is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s even inevitable at some point.
- The smartest approach is to stay reasonable. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Never use money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase your losses: that rarely ends well.
- A bet should remain a game, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your daily life, causes stress or frustration, take a break. And if needed, talk to a support organisation: that’s what they’re there for.
- Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, no matter how good the analysis.
- Essential reminder: gambling is prohibited for minors and must comply with the laws of your country. Need help? Visit begambleaware.org.
