A first slate after the summer
The United States men’s national team has its next assignment. Mauricio Pochettino’s side will open its post-World Cup schedule with four home friendlies, starting against Peru on Sept. 26 at Inter.co Stadium in Orlando.
Chile follows three days later at Energizer Park in St. Louis. The Americans then host Mexico on Oct. 3 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., before closing the window against Canada on Oct. 6 at Allianz Field in St. Paul, Minn.
Each opponent brings a different test. Peru and Chile arrive carrying South American qualifying rhythms, while Mexico and Canada renew the rivalries that shape the region.

Pochettino builds on a breakthrough summer
The timing matters. Pochettino, 54, signed an extension through the 2030 World Cup, announced Monday, so this stretch reads as the opening chapter of a longer plan rather than a one-off camp.
His summer gave him reason to stay. The U.S. topped Group D with a 2-1-0 record, then beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0 in the round of 32 before Belgium ended the run 4-1 in Seattle, one round short of the quarter-finals.
One number stands out from that campaign. It was the first time the United States collected three victories at a single World Cup. For a program long measured against decades of near-misses, that mark resets what the next cycle is chasing.
What the fans get
Pochettino wants continuity from the crowds that packed stadiums through July. “We are so excited to start this new phase of our journey with matches in front of our home fans,” he said, adding that the group must treat every game as critical.
