Five wins to three, and the last two in a row
Badosa owns this matchup. The Spaniard leads the head-to-head 5-3 and took the last two meetings, at the Australian Open last year and then on grass in Berlin this summer. Gauff has beaten a lot of people in 2026. Badosa is not usually one of them.
The catch is that Badosa’s season has been ordinary by her standards, 23-17, dragged down by the back trouble that has followed her around for two years now. Gauff arrives as the fourth seed with a Cincinnati title still fresh on the resume. So the record says one thing and the form says another, which is roughly why this got the night session.
Not before 7pm, and that word matters
Arthur Ashe hosts, with Gauff and Badosa opening the evening. Listed for no earlier than 7pm New York time, or 1am in France, overnight from Thursday 3 to Friday 4 September. Whether they actually walk out then depends entirely on how the day session on the main court has behaved.
Try it for $0.99.
Eurosport, but which one is anyone’s guess
Night sessions usually land on Eurosport 1. Usually. When several courts are live at the same time, the marquee match can get shunted to Eurosport 2 or one of the Eurosport 360 event streams, and nobody announces that far ahead. Check the listings an hour out. For streaming, it is HBO Max with the Sport add-on, or CANAL+ if your package already carries the group’s channels.
Schedule subject to change by the tournament organisers or the broadcaster.
