Union Bordeaux-Begles vs Stade Francais Paris : 64-5 then 12-48, a week of total extremes for UBB 
Union Bordeaux-Begles put 64 points on the board on opening day, then shipped 48 the following week. No Top 14 club has seen such a swing across two games.
The first number came at Chaban-Delmas against Racing 92, the second at Ernest-Wallon against Stade Toulousain. The Girondins sit fifth heading into this third round.
Stade Francais are down in 10th, with one opening win and one defeat at Marcel-Michelin. Paris have scored 44 points and conceded 51 since the season restarted.
The match closes out round three on Sunday 20 September at 21:05, at Stade Chaban-Delmas. Canal+ will broadcast it.
Double European champions but left out of the top six last season, UBB have plenty riding on this return home. The hammering in Toulouse has reopened all the doubts about whether this group can keep its level up.
Stade Francais, meanwhile, let a losing bonus slip away in Clermont after a cheap mistake. These small accounting errors always seem to come back and bite you in the spring.

UBB scored four tries in the first 15 minutes of their season, with Woki grabbing a brace, then Falatea and Bochaton adding more. Willis made it five on 25 minutes.
By half-time, the scoreboard read 38-0 and six tries to none. Pkhakadze’s yellow card on 17 minutes only briefly slowed the Bordeaux machine.
Louis Bielle-Biarrey bagged a second-half brace to take the total to 10 tries and seal a 64-5 final score. It was the worst opening-day hiding ever handed out by a Top 14 side this season.
The trip to Ernest-Wallon flipped the script completely, with a 48-12 defeat. UBB went from front-runners to a team put back in its box in seven days.
The club has extended Pierre Bochaton for another three seasons, through to 2030. Jack Willis, signed from Saracens in the 2026 summer window, scored on his official debut in Gironde.
Chaban-Delmas remains the ground where the Girondins have produced their best rugby this season. Getting back there after Toulouse should come at the right time.

Stade Francais Paris : dominant first halves, then two late collapses 
Stade Francais were 28-6 up at the break against Perpignan at Jean-Bouin, with four tries to none. The game looked done.
USAP still scored 20 second-half points and dragged it back to 28-26. Paris kept the four-point win, but the warning lights were already flashing.
At Marcel-Michelin, the story went the other way. Stade Francais led 6-3 at half-time after a tight first period before going down 25-16.
Bautista Delguy’s try with 10 minutes left finally killed them off. It came from a loose pass from full-back Leo Barre, who was put under pressure in his own half, and it cost them the losing bonus.
Paris now have 44 points scored and 51 conceded across two rounds. That negative differential leaves them in the bottom half of the table, 10th.
The real issue in Paris is how they handle the final 20 minutes. In both games, Stade Francais have lost control at the key moment in the last quarter.
