Nine minutes late, then the floodgates opened
Troyes had started in ideal fashion. In the 9th minute, Antoine Mille met a pinpoint cross from Ouzenadji to put the newly promoted side, unbeaten with four points until then, in front. From there, Racing Club de Strasbourg took over and they did it in no half measures: 6-2 at the final whistle on Sunday, in Ligue 1 round 3.
The turning point came before the break. In the 40th minute, Gessime Yassine slid a low cross between two defenders and Jacobo Ortega bundled the ball home. First Ligue 1 goal for the newcomer from Real Madrid. Two minutes later, Diogo Souza got off the mark as well, following up after a shot was parried by the keeper.
After the restart, Strasbourg kept pressing where it hurt. A high turnover, a string of quick passes, then Ortega laid it off in the channel for Reyna, whose strike from the edge of the box made it 3-1 in the 57th minute.

Amo-Ameyaw’s rapid-fire double
Troyes stayed willing but were too sloppy in the final third to trouble a well-organised Alsace side. Strasbourg, for their part, wasted chances for ages. Yassine came within inches of the far post after a nutmeg in the area (68th minute), while Conrad Harder opened his body far too much when faced with Beach (82nd).
Then Amo-Ameyaw took charge. Shifted over to the right, the forward took on his man, cut back onto his left foot and drilled a low effort into the far corner (85th minute). Two minutes later, he pounced on a dreadful clearance from the Troyes keeper, beat three defenders and lashed the ball into the top corner. A brace in 120 seconds.
Harder added another in stoppage time. Jérémy Le Douaron, signed in the closing days of the transfer window, grabbed a late consolation for the Aube club.
Two fixtures, two moods
Six goals in one game from a side that was behind after 15 minutes: the numbers tell you how shaky the early-season order still is. Strasbourg have strung together a second straight win, climb to fourth with six points and host AS Monaco next Saturday, the only unbeaten side still sitting at the top.
Troyes stay on four points and drop to ninth. The promoted club head to Lille next Sunday, with a defence that now has six goals hanging over it from one miserable afternoon needing a serious fix.
