Shamrock Rovers vs Ararat-Armenia : the Irish need another comeback 
Shamrock Rovers are back at Tallaght Stadium with another tough job on their hands. Beaten 2-0 in Armenia in the first leg, the Irish champions have to pull off another turnaround if they are to keep their Champions League run alive.
Ararat-Armenia arrive with a two-goal cushion and a healthy dose of confidence. But they know this tie is not done yet after already wobbling away from home in the previous round against Riga FC, when their comfortable lead almost slipped away before they eventually went through.
Shamrock have to believe again 
The Hoops have seen this film before. In the previous round, they also lost the first leg 2-0 before turning it round against Floriana with a ruthless attacking display in front of their own fans. That kind of memory can only fuel belief in another escape act.
At Tallaght Stadium, Shamrock have been strong. They have won five of their last six home games and usually start at full tilt from the off. Aaron Greene and Graham Burke will need to get at the Armenian defence quickly, even with several attacking absences to deal with.
That need to score could leave gaps at the back, though. The Irish have to strike the right balance between pushing forward in a hurry and not gifting counters to a side that thrives in transition.
Ararat-Armenia have the upper hand 
The Armenian club made the most of their moments in the first leg. Sandro Lima and Zidane Banjaqui turned their side’s second-half control into goals, handing them a valuable lead heading to Ireland.
Ararat have the tools to hurt teams in transition. Sandro Lima will be joined by Artur Serobyan and Zhirayr Shaghoyan in an attack that can punish the spaces Shamrock will inevitably leave as the game wears on.
The visitors have lost just one competitive away match since March. That away record is a major plus in a tie where they do not need to take the initiative to protect their advantage.
