Raiders vs Tigers: Canberra look to keep the surge going 
Super Saturday kicks off once again in the Australian capital with a key clash for two teams chasing very different goals. The Raiders are aiming to back up their strong form and keep climbing towards the Top 8, while the Tigers are already running out of room for error.
Canberra come in on the back of several impressive displays that have turned their season around. The Tigers, by contrast, are in a rough patch and are struggling to find any sort of confidence, either in attack or defence.
The two sides met earlier in the season, with Wests pulling off a surprise win. The Raiders will have revenge on their minds when they return home.
The Raiders are finally flying 
Canberra backed up their excellent form by beating South Sydney 34 to 24 in a game that was far more controlled than the final score suggests. The Raiders had the match all but wrapped up before half-time thanks to a first half of the highest order, built on ruthless efficiency with the ball.
Despite having slightly less possession, Ricky Stuart’s men made the most of almost every chance they got. Their discipline, execution and ability to get up the field quickly kept the Rabbitohs under pressure throughout.
There were still a few regrets after the break. With a handy lead, Canberra dropped their intensity a touch and let South Sydney back into the contest. Against stronger opposition, that sort of fade could prove far more costly.
The win was overshadowed by the serious injury to Hudson Young, who suffered an Achilles rupture and is now done for the season. That is a big loss, even if Ethan Strange, Joe Tapine and the rest of the senior players now have to step up fast.
The Tigers are sinking deeper into trouble 
Things are getting uglier by the week for the Tigers. Blown away 32-0 by the Bulldogs last time out, they produced a flat performance with no real response and never looked like bothering the opposition defence.
Their attacking issues are becoming a pattern. Sets are ending with little threat, exits from their own end lack punch and the team is struggling to create clear chances even when possession is decent. Right now, wastefulness is one of their biggest problems.
The signs at the back are no better. The Tigers are regularly giving up ground, losing the contact battle and leaving far too much space when pressure ramps up. The temporary dismissals against Canterbury made life even harder, but they don’t fully explain just how one-sided that game was.
Jarome Luai will play his final matches in Wests colours and has promised to give everything before he leaves. His duel with Ethan Strange should be one of the main talking points in this one.
The Raiders want to keep building momentum
The Raiders head into this with far more certainty than their opponents. Their structure, current confidence and efficiency in scoring areas make them the clear favourites for this matchup.
The Tigers are still capable of raising their level for a one-off game, as they showed in the first meeting between the sides this season. But their current form and the long list of flaws on show in recent weeks make another upset much harder to picture.
Canberra have the tools to control this one and keep pushing towards the finals places.

The Raiders are slowly getting their confidence back and are creating more and more chances out wide. Against a Tigers defence that has been badly exposed for weeks, there should be plenty of space on the edges again.
In that context, Sione Finau looks a very interesting option. If he gets the same quality service as he has in recent Raiders outings, he has the pace and finish to cross and keep Canberra’s attacking momentum rolling.
