BIOGRAPHY
S. Schonlau lines up for Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS, bringing his qualities to one of football's top competitions. Born in Warburg, Germany, he developed his passion for football from an early age before catching the eye of professional clubs. His profile as a defender is enhanced by his dimensions — 185 cm tall and 80 kg — ideal for the professional game. Whether in the air or on the ground, he remains competitive and difficult to get past for opposing attacks. His journey through clubs such as Hamburger SV, SC Paderborn 07 has forged a resilient and adaptable character well-suited to top-flight football. A winner at the highest level, he has lifted Reg. Cup Westfalen, proving his ability to deliver when the stakes are highest. As the 2025/2026 season progresses, he continues to represent Vancouver Whitecaps with dedication and professionalism. His well-rounded profile and accumulated experience make him one of the most important assets in Vancouver Whitecaps's squad.
