A late name on the report
Keisean Nixon was not on Green Bay’s injury report earlier this week. By Thursday he was, listed as questionable with a shoulder injury for the home game against the Carolina Panthers. For a defense leaning on its corners, a late addition like that matters.
Nixon, 29, is a two-time First-Team All-Pro and starts opposite Brandon Cisse. Through seven games this season, all starts, he has 43 tackles, an interception and half a sack. The Packers are 4-3.

A career built from the bottom
Nixon went undrafted out of South Carolina and spent three seasons with the Raiders, starting in 2019, before signing with Green Bay in March 2022. Last year he played all 17 regular-season games, made 72 tackles and set a career high with 17 passes defensed. Across 115 regular-season games he has five interceptions, four forced fumbles and 39 passes defensed.
Questionable means he could still suit up. If he can’t go, Cisse would face the Panthers’ receivers without his usual partner on the other side.
