NFL: Packers list Golden among six questionable for Panthers

Golden heads a crowded questionable list

Green Bay’s Wednesday injury report has a lot of names on it. Receiver Matthew Golden (shoulder and foot), edge rusher Brenton Cox Jr. (quad) and defensive tackles Devonte Wyatt and Anthony Campbell (both ankle) are all questionable for Thursday night’s game against the Panthers. Each was limited in practice.

Two more players joined them Wednesday: linebacker Zaire Franklin (shin) and guard/tackle Travis Glover (knee). Neither has practiced all week. Center Sean Rhyan is out with an ankle injury, and CBS Sports reports he will likely miss at least a month with a high ankle sprain.

What Golden has given Green Bay

Golden, the 23rd overall pick in 2025 out of Texas, has 36 catches on 69 targets for 540 yards and three touchdowns in seven games, six of them starts. Across 21 career games he has 65 receptions for 901 yards. He briefly left Sunday’s 20-17 loss to the Lions before returning, and head coach Matt LaFleur was short when asked if he would be available. “I sure hope so,” LaFleur said.

Franklin is in his first season with the Packers and has 41 tackles, two for loss and a forced fumble in six starts. Glover has started all four games this season and taken 100 percent of the offensive snaps, 263 in total. Green Bay sits at 4-3 and now faces a short week with several rotation pieces in doubt.
