Ousmane Dembele is not going anywhere. The France forward is extending at Paris Saint-Germain until 2030, a story Canal+ broke on Sunday night and Foot Mercato confirmed on Monday.
It took weeks to get here. Now it lands right at the end of the window, with Paris tying down the player who has decided more matches than anyone else at the club over the past two seasons.

A reigning Ballon d’Or winner was never leaving
The reasoning is not complicated. Dembele holds the Ballon d’Or, and he has won the last two Champions League finals in a PSG shirt. There is no version of this squad that works without him.
His route here was messier than most. Rennes brought him through, Borussia Dortmund took him next, and then came four years at Barcelona that never quite produced what Catalonia paid for. Paris rebuilt him.
He turns 30 during this contract. Four more seasons in the capital, expiring in 2030.
The football has not caught up yet
His start to the campaign has been flat. The player who won the Ballon d’Or has not shown up in these opening weeks, and the staff have given him time away to get his body right.
The timing of the signature matters for the rest of the market. PSG have moved plenty of players in and out this summer, and holding on to the forward everything runs through changes the shape of their season.
