Las Vegas are one of only two unbeaten NFL teams left after two weeks, following a home win over Miami and a convincing road victory in Los Angeles against the Chargers. The Saints have been steadier, with one win and one loss, but that defeat came in overtime against Detroit, by a single point. They then backed it up with a win over Baltimore, underlining a strong offensive run.
The two teams also share a rare marker this early in the season: the Saints sit second in the NFL in passing yards, while the Raiders own the ninth-best total defence.
That clash of styles, with a sharp aerial attack on one side and a tight defence on the other, makes this Superdome showdown pretty easy to read on paper even before you get into the individual matchups.
The market has the Saints as 3-point home favourites, with the total set at 44.5 points, a line that respects the home offence without ignoring an unbeaten opponent.
There is also a neat storyline here through the coaching links between the two staffs. Klint Kubiak, head coach of the Raiders, was offensive coordinator in New Orleans in 2024. That is the backdrop for this pick, with kick-off set for 22:25 Paris time at the Caesars Superdome.

That production sits inside an offence ranked second in the league with 305.5 passing yards per game, an eye-catching number for a team still viewed as a rebuild in progress.
The ground game, though, remains the weak spot, producing just 78.0 rushing yards per game, which leaves them 28th in the NFL.
That puts more pressure on Shough’s shoulders, with the quarterback asked to carry the offence against a Raiders defence that has been solid overall.
As for team news, Kelvin Banks Jr. is ruled out for this one, while Martin Emerson Jr., Isaiah Stalbird and Christen Miller are listed as questionable ahead of kick-off.

Las Vegas Raiders, the AFC West’s only unbeaten team 
Las Vegas opened with a clean home win over Miami, 27-13, before springing a 26-14 surprise over the Chargers in Los Angeles.
That perfect start has been built on a strong defence, ranked ninth in the league with 284.5 total yards allowed per game, comfortably better than the Saints in that department.
The offence, though, is more limited through the air, with 204.0 passing yards per game, 16th in the NFL, an area where the Saints still hold a clear edge.
They also have to monitor the status of several key offensive players, including Brock Bowers and Aidan O’Connell, both questionable ahead of the trip to Louisiana.
This trip will also be a proper test for a defence that has not yet faced a passing attack as productive as Shough’s this season.
Historically, Las Vegas lead the series 8-7 with one tie from 16 meetings with the Saints, and won the last matchup 25-10 in December 2024.
