Four out of five, and the police are not guessing
France’s national anti-hooliganism unit has put Lyon vs Fenerbahce at level 4 on a five-point risk scale. That is one notch below the maximum.
The Champions League play-off second leg kicks off Wednesday at 9pm at Groupama Stadium, with the first leg already played in Istanbul. Le Progres report that 2,200 Fenerbahce supporters are expected, 200 of them in VIP areas.
The Rhone prefecture has responded in kind. Additional security will be in place across the whole evening.

Sixteen hours of restrictions around the ground
The prefectural order runs from 8am until midnight. It covers a wide perimeter around the stadium.
Fenerbahce fans must gather at a single meeting point at Eurexpo before being moved to the ground. No ticket means no access to Groupama Stadium or the streets around it. Carrying or setting off fireworks, flares and any other pyrotechnics is banned throughout the zone.
Mobile police units will enforce it. Break the rules and the penalties are criminal, not administrative.
The football has not gone anywhere
None of this changes what is actually at stake. A Champions League group place will be decided in Lyon on Wednesday night.
OL are at home after their trip to Istanbul. Fenerbahce arrive with a travelling support and the weight that comes with it. Both clubs understand what the result does to their season, and to their accounts.
