Minnesota’s streak reaches double figures

The Minnesota Lynx beat the Indiana Fever 108-100 on Sunday for a 10th straight win, moving to 25-6 and the best record in the WNBA. Olivia Miles led the way with 28 points and Courtney Williams added 27, a backcourt haul that Indiana could not answer.

Napheesa Collier controlled the middle with 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. The numbers that decided it were less obvious than the score. Minnesota won offensive rebounds 11-5 and fast-break points 9-0, and turned it over just six times to Indiana’s 12.

Mitchell keeps Indiana close

Kelsey Mitchell kept the Fever within range with 37 points. It was her fifth 30-point game of the season and a 14th consecutive game with at least 20, a run second only to A’ja Wilson’s 15 in a single season. Caitlin Clark chipped in 19 points and 10 assists, and Aliyah Boston posted 15 points and eight rebounds.

Even elite scoring has limits when the possession battle goes the other way. Both teams shot around 57 percent and each hit 11 threes, so the difference came from the margins Minnesota owned.

Minnesota now sits clear at the top and looks the hardest team in the league to slow down. Indiana, 19-11, saw a five-game winning streak end and heads home to fix the turnovers rather than the shooting.
