Liverpool collapse in Chicago
Liverpool led Leeds 2-0 at halftime and lost 4-2 at Soldier Field on Sunday. The result closed both clubs’ United States tour and handed Leeds the standout scalp of the trip.
Luke Chambers opened the scoring in the seventh minute. Florian Wirtz doubled the lead just before the break, finishing a sharp move that ran through Trey Nyoni and Jeremie Frimpong. Liverpool looked comfortable at the interval.

Leeds turn it around after the break
Brenden Aaronson pulled one back on the hour. Dominic Calvert-Lewin then struck twice, in the 71st and 85th minutes, and Sean Longstaff added a fourth in between. Leeds scored two of the goals directly from long throws.
The set-piece lapses will bother Andoni Iraola most. Preseason exists to sand down exactly those edges, and Liverpool head into the new campaign with defending to sharpen.
Tour ends on a low
Friendlies settle nothing, but the shape of this one lingers. Liverpool created enough to win comfortably and instead conceded four. Leeds fly home with momentum.
