Forty-six seconds on the pitch, one red card
Djibril Sidibe was on the field for less than a minute. He came on in the 68th at Rennes, and by the time the clock ticked past 46 seconds he was walking back off, having stamped on Esteban Lepaul’s ankle. Le Mans went on to lose 3-2 in stoppage time.
The bill arrived Wednesday. Meeting on September 2, the LFP disciplinary commission gave the Le Mans defender a one-match straight ban and a second game suspended.

His coach refused to pin the defeat on him
Patrick Videira had a choice at the final whistle and made it quickly. “We would have liked a better first half, but one thing is clear, we did not lose because of Djibril,” the Le Mans boss said.
Sidibe won a World Cup in 2018. Eighteen caps, one goal, and a career that has quietly drifted since. He signed for Le Mans this summer looking for minutes. So far the only thing on his record is a suspension.
Lille’s bench also paid up
Sidibe was not alone on Wednesday’s list. Luis Garcia Tevenet, sent off during Lille-PSG on August 28 while working as an LOSC assistant, picked up a one-match straight ban covering the touchline, the dressing room and every official duty, with another game suspended on top.
Down in Ligue 2, Maxence Prevot of USL Dunkerque got two matches. Theo Brusco of US Boulogne CO got one. The commission sits again on Wednesday September 9 at 6pm.
