A fresh lead opens up after the Mbaye file
Paris are not done in the market. Luis Campos said as much on Sunday night, before Rennes-PSG (2-2). “This transfer window is nowhere near over. It’s still open. Even on the incoming side, if we spot a good opportunity, we’ll do it,” the Paris sporting director said.
And that opportunity is now under review. According to L’Equipe, PSG are tracking Adil Hamdani, a 17-year-old forward developed at Olympique Lyonnais. The move is tied to Ibrahim Mbaye, who has been on his way out for several weeks and already has a contract agreement with Liverpool.
Born in Paris and a France U17 international on four occasions, Hamdani can play on either wing or just behind the main striker. He fits the profile Paris want if they need to replace an outgoing player.

No pro deal yet at Lyon
The contract situation explains the interest. The player is under an academy deal for one more season. Lyon have offered him his first professional contract, but he still hasn’t signed it.
PSG want to make the most of that uncertainty. A deal would not come cheap, though: Paris would still have to agree terms with Lyon and pay a transfer fee. The capital club have switched to this option after the Laciné Megnan-Pave move fell through, despite an agreement having been reached before Montpellier said no.
A talent already thrown in at the deep end
Hamdani is no shot in the dark. On 23 October, at Auxerre (0-0), he became the third-youngest Lyon player of the 21st century, at 16 years and 306 days. Only Willem Geubbels and Rayan Cherki were younger.
Since then, he has made seven appearances under Paulo Fonseca and set up a goal in the Europa League against PAOK Thessaloniki (4-2, on 29 January). The window closes on 1 September. Lyon have one week to convince him to put pen to paper.
