Two fixtures shuffled around Saturday’s protests
Ligue 1 is rearranging its calendar again. A third national day of social mobilisation is planned for Saturday 31 October, and the pressure point is police availability. Two matches have already moved.
The Lorient sub-prefecture asked the league to postpone Lorient against Brest, set for Saturday at 8.45pm local time, and the LFP agreed. The Breton derby now kicks off on Monday 2 November at 8.45pm. Authorities class it as a high-risk fixture, which means several mobile police units would be needed at the ground while the same forces are wanted in town centres across Brittany.
Nice against Rennes, originally scheduled for Saturday at 5.15pm, has gone the other way. The Alpes-Maritimes prefecture pushed for a change, a Sunday slot was looked at, and the match has been brought forward to Friday 30 October at 7pm.

More changes could follow
Other prefectures may still ask for moves to free up officers, according to RMC Sport. Previous protest Saturdays did not hit every fixture equally, and the most recent one was quieter than the first, which could help other games stay where they are. Ligue 2 could be affected too.
For now the changes are limited to those two matches. Anyone travelling for a game this weekend should check kick-off details first.
