The traditional Anzac Day clash kicks off this Super Saturday, and it always comes with a bit of extra bite. In Sydney, the Dragons arrive in crisis after losing their coach, while the Roosters are going about their business a little more quietly, but with real ambition.
On paper, there’s a gap here. But in a fixture like this, the mood around the place often matters just as much as form.
The Dragons are in the eye of the storm 
The 30-12 defeat to the Rabbitohs left a mark. More than a loss, it triggered a proper internal shake-up.
Discipline problems, poor control, defensive mistakes… it all went wrong. The red card didn’t help, but the issues ran a lot deeper than one moment in the game.
The coaching change, with Dean Young stepping in on an interim basis, should bring fresh energy. Sometimes that sort of jolt sparks an immediate response.
Handing Kade Reed a chance is a sign they want to break the pattern and kick-start something.
But the pressure is still very real. The Dragons are still chasing their first win, and the fixes can’t wait much longer.
The Roosters keep winning… but keep making life harder than it needs to be

Against Newcastle, and before that against the Sharks, the Roosters again needed a second-half lift to turn things around.
And that’s the odd thing with this team.
For spells, they look every inch a serious contender. Tempo, intensity, invention… it’s all there.
But over 80 minutes, the level still drifts.
James Tedesco is carrying a huge load, the attacking shape is working better, and their knack of raising the tempo after the break is becoming a real weapon.
The problem is those slow starts. They leave themselves exposed for no good reason.
The emotional edge could decide it
That’s what makes this one worth watching.
The Dragons come in bruised and under pressure, but maybe freed up by the coaching change. The Roosters arrive with more certainty, even if they haven’t fully convinced yet.
And in an Anzac Day fixture, the emotion often trumps the table.
Expect a tense, physical start, with the Dragons trying to lean on pride and effort.
