Opta have published their list of players owned by under 10% of managers going into Gameweek 3, and his name is on it, which is really the whole article in one line.
He got two assists and nine points against Crystal Palace. He also butchered two clear chances, and his 0.90 xG was still higher than any other City player managed that afternoon. Coventry visit the Etihad this weekend.
For scale: Rayan Cherki is at 23.1%, Antoine Semenyo at 21.3%, Erling Haaland is in more or less everyone’s team. Foden is in almost nobody’s.

A four million pound defender leading the league
John Egan costs 4.0m and is owned by 3.8% of teams.
The Hull centre-back has 34 defensive contributions from two matches, the highest total in the division at any position, and 17 points already. He is also the only outfielder at the club to have played all 180 minutes.
Two defenders have scored more. One is his own team-mate Semi Ajayi, inflated by a Gameweek 1 goal, and the other is James Tarkowski, who costs considerably more at Everton.
Lewis Hall tells a similar story. Newcastle’s left-back, 5.0m, owned by 7.5%, and he takes the corners. Eleven defensive contributions against Liverpool, then 11 points against Tottenham. Only James Hill (0.74) and Ruben Dias (0.71) have a higher expected assists figure than his 0.66 this season. Newcastle’s next five: Bournemouth, Leeds, Hull, Coventry, Aston Villa.
Schade and Garcia are the gambles
Kevin Schade, 6.0m, owned by 3.8%. No Premier League midfielder took more shots from inside the box last season than his 56, and nobody in that position finished with a higher non-penalty xG than his 11.4.
He had five attempts against Tottenham on opening day. Every one from inside the area. Every one wasted. Then he scored at Leeds and walked off with maximum bonus.
Gonzalo Garcia costs the same. Fulham’s Spanish striker scored on his Craven Cottage debut in a 3-2 loss to Chelsea, and his 0.70 accounted for half of the side’s 1.40 xG on the night. Fulham now get Crystal Palace, who have lost twice and conceded six.
