Football : The FFF unveils the new France team logo !

Why the FFF picked this moment to refresh the France teams’ image

A new head coach on Tuesday for France, a new identity on Wednesday. At the French Football Federation, that timing is no accident. In the space of two days, the FFF has launched two projects that are meant to shape the next few years for the France teams. One is on the pitch, with the arrival of Zinedine Zidane. The other is about how the French sides will now be presented to the public.

So this new logo is not just replacing the old one. It is the starting point for a fresh chapter. By unveiling the identity the day after naming its new head coach, the Federation has deliberately tied its visual overhaul to the sporting cycle now beginning.

The cockerel stays, but everything else changes

The symbol has not changed. The cockerel remains at the heart of the France teams’ identity, along with the two stars marking the world titles. But the design has been completely reworked to make it clearer across modern platforms, while the word “France” now sits directly beneath the emblem.

This update goes far beyond the logo itself. The Federation has also overhauled its graphic charter, its fonts and its full visual code so every national side now uses the same identity, whether it is the men’s team, the women’s team or the youth setup.

The FFF wants a brand, not just a badge

Through this redesign, the Federation is mainly trying to line up its image across social media, video content, marketing campaigns and major international events. The logo is really just the most visible part of a much bigger plan, built to make the France teams instantly recognisable, whatever the platform.

The new cockerel will be rolled out gradually over the coming months. More than just a new design, the FFF is selling this as a way of backing a new generation of players, men and women alike, without cutting ties to a symbol that has followed French football for more than a century.
