Jutgla breaks the deadlock before the break
Celta Vigo and Malaga drew 1-1 at Balaidos earlier today, and neither side will feel much better for it.
The first half offered little. Einar Galilea picked up a booking on 24 minutes, Yoel Lago followed him into the book two minutes later, and the game looked set to reach the interval goalless. Then Hugo Gonzalez worked the ball to Ferran Jutgla in the 41st minute and the striker finished with his right foot.
Malaga reacted at the break, pulling Galilea off and sending on Ramon. Celta kept the lead through the hour mark without ever making it safe.

Nino punishes the hosts
Malaga went to their bench on 67 minutes. Adrian Nino replaced Izan Merino, Puga came on for Dani Lorenzo, and the shape of the match changed.
Celta responded with changes of their own, Hugo Burcio and Couhaib Driouech arriving on 74 minutes. It made no difference. Nine minutes later Pablo Martinez delivered and Nino met it with his head, beating Celta’s goalkeeper to level the game with seven minutes left.
Iago Aspas came on a minute after that, replacing Jutgla, the club’s all-time leading scorer thrown into the search for a winner. Referee Carlos Muniz Munoz added five minutes at the end. Nothing came of them.
Two sides still hunting a first win
The point leaves Celta on four, with four draws and two defeats and not a single victory to show for any of it. Three goals scored in the league so far tells most of the story. They sit 14th.
Malaga have three points and sit 17th, also without a win, and they have now drawn three times. Their two goals this season put them level with Getafe at the bottom of the scoring charts, with only Valencia on one having managed fewer.
Nino was on the pitch for sixteen minutes and changed the result, which says something about where Malaga are finding their goals. For Celta, the afternoon adds to a pattern that will not shift on its own. Six matches, no wins, a lead surrendered at home, and a run of draws that keeps them closer to the relegation places than to anything above.
