The Cavaliers outscored the Bucks 48-21 in the second quarter on their way to a 136-111 win, their first on the road in three tries this season, and they shot 62.2% from the field over the first two periods.

The lead peaked at 36 points, 112-76, early in the fourth quarter.

Mobley and Allen carry the load

Evan Mobley scored a season-high 27 points, 13 of them in that decisive second quarter. Jarrett Allen added 25 points and 11 rebounds for the 250th double-double of his career. Donovan Mitchell chipped in 15 points, James Harden had 13 points and seven assists, and rookie Meleek Thomas scored 13 after missing one game with right foot soreness. Mario Hezonja contributed eight points and 11 rebounds off the bench.

Cleveland did it without forward Jaylon Tyson, who sat out with a sprained right ankle. The Cavaliers are 4-1 since their season-opening loss to Philadelphia.

Bucks slide to 1-5

Milwaukee has lost two straight and five of its first six. Kel’el Ware had 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Tyler Herro scored 15 on 5-of-18 shooting. First-round pick Nate Ament was the efficient one, going 6-for-8 for 14 points, and Kyle Kuzma and Brayden Burries each finished with 14. Ware and Herro both arrived in the July trade that sent Giannis Antetokounmpo to Miami, and so far the return has not changed the standings.
