Another body on the cart in Denver
The cart came out again at Broncos camp. Matt Henningsen went down in a Friday practice, and the diagnosis was the one every lineman dreads: a torn Achilles. Multiple outlets confirmed it within hours.
Here is the cruel part. Henningsen, 27, tore the other Achilles exactly one year earlier, to the day. Two seasons, gone, on the same date.

A career that never got room to breathe
He was still waiting on his real start in the league. Denver spent a sixth-round pick on him in the 2022 draft out of Wisconsin. Across his first two full seasons he put up 40 tackles and a single sack. Useful depth, nothing loud. Then the injuries showed up and refused to leave.
All of 2024 went to the practice squad. Now this. The defensive line loses a rotation piece before a single snap of the new season, and Henningsen faces another long rehab instead of football.
