A Sunday ceremony at the Superdome
The Saints announced on Friday that Drew Brees will be inducted into their Ring of Honor at halftime of Sunday’s home game against the Minnesota Vikings. He becomes the ninth member of the franchise’s Ring of Honor.
Brees is 47 now, and his Sunday has two jobs in it. He will be in the Superdome as part of the Fox broadcast crew, so the man being honored at halftime will also be calling the game around it.
The ceremony includes the presentation of his Pro Football Hall of Fame ring. He went into the Hall in Canton, Ohio, with the Class of 2026 in August, which makes this the second major honor of his year.

What he left behind in New Orleans
Brees spent 15 seasons with the Saints, from 2006 through 2020. He finished as the franchise leader in quarterback wins, passing yards and touchdown passes.
The peak came after the 2009 season. He led New Orleans to its only Super Bowl title, a 31-17 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV.
