One line, and the whole thing kicks off again
“A magician on that pitch.” That is how Jan-Christian Dreesen describes Michael Olise. The Bayern Munich chief executive spoke to Sport1 on Sunday. He wanted to shut the story down. Instead, he blew it back open.
The first part of the message: nobody made an offer this summer. Dreesen was clear. “That simply was not true. That is why I said it publicly. We had no offer on the table. And we have always said we were not interested. That is exactly our position.”
The second part is a lot less certain. He was asked whether Olise will still be at Bayern after the next summer window. He would not commit. “Making promises in this business is a tricky thing. Whether we can keep him permanently is something we will discuss again this summer.”

A contract to 2029, and plenty of eyes on him
The player is 24. He joined from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2024 and his contract runs until June 2029. On paper, Bayern have control. In reality, the France international has gone up a level in Bavaria and his name is being linked elsewhere.
According to reports over recent months, Real Madrid, several Premier League clubs and Paris Saint-Germain have all shown interest. Nothing official, nothing concrete, according to Dreesen. But when a club chief refuses to say “he will stay”, agents hear something else.
Bayern know how this works. A key man who is not publicly locked down becomes a realistic target for rivals. Five years on a contract means very little if the club leaves the door open.
Kane, meanwhile, is heading the other way
With Harry Kane, the tone is completely different. Dreesen sounds confident about a new deal for the England striker. “We have a relaxed relationship. It is clear that both sides want it. The length of the contract? That is one of the minor details I will not discuss here.”
The scorer is covered. The winger is up in the air. Bayern were asked a straight question about one of their best players and gave an answer that will be read very carefully in Madrid and Paris.
