Roller coasters next door to the pitch
Camp Nou has hosted grander announcements than this one.
Barcelona want an amusement park inside the complex, Mundo Deportivo reports. The club has struck an agreement with Babylon Park Spain SL covering the concession of play areas, aimed largely at children, running beyond five years.
Nothing is signed. The proposal goes to the ordinary general assembly on 19 September, where delegate members get the final word. Information sessions will run first so the terms are laid out properly.

Who exactly are Babylon Park
An Israeli operator. Parks in Tel Aviv, Haifa, Glilot, Ashdod and Beer-Sheva, plus sites in London, Belgrade and Leganes on the outskirts of Madrid.
That Leganes venue is the useful reference point. Roughly 1,200 m2 tucked inside the Westfield Parquesur shopping centre: indoor coasters, a free-fall tower, flying chairs, arcade machines, simulators, basketball, air hockey, and rooms set aside for birthday parties.
That is the template heading for Barcelona.
A stadium that has to earn seven days a week
Laugh if you want. The plan still lines up neatly with everything the club has done since the rebuild started. The new Camp Nou was never drawn up as a football ground alone.
Follow the money and it makes sense. A family turns up hours before kick-off, the kids get occupied, the cash register keeps ringing. On the other 340-odd days of the year, the space still pays rent. Every big European club is circling the same idea, because gate receipts do not cover a project north of 1 billion euros.
Barca have just survived a summer of salary caps and awkward compromises in the market. A guaranteed revenue line, locked in for five years, costing the club almost nothing up front, carries weight in that room.
The vote lands on 19 September. Barcelona members have a long history of not signing whatever is put in front of them.
